I wanted to try a Japanese take on Italian food, and this restaurant was near our hotel. We came for dinner at 5:30pm. The atmosphere is dark with good lighting over the table and booths, so apt for a romantic dinner. Service was prompt with care, but you do order via QR code. The food was tasty but not straight traditional Italian. We had a Margherita pizza which had a little bit of basil on a thin, crispy crust; Gorgonzola gnocchi which was tasty and didn’t smell as strongly as some Gorgonzola I’ve had in the past. The pasta volcano was tasty and had meatballs but also ham, which was a surprise, and a sauce was more savory like a stew than a tomato sauce which is what I was expecting. Out third dish was roasted chicken with vegetables. Since we were there during happy hour we took advantage of the drink discount and had four cocktails. Our total was less than $45 US.
