Came here in a Sunday afternoon for some tea and snacks before heading into the garden. Because it was a Sunday we had a small wait - about 20 minutes but that's expected as it's a Sunday in Tokyo at a popular place. When we sat down we had a nice view of the garden and ordered the matcha ice cream with shiratama and red beans and a matcha tea set. They were both delicious for a reasonable price and we were able to relax and enjoy a nice afternoon for a quick little break. The staff was very friendly and the place was nice and clean. Wasn't terribly loud either for being a bit crowded. For any English speaking people - there is also an English menu. In from of our table there was also a plguide to all the flowers that we can see from our table and explained where and what each flower is which was nice.

Very zen place with a good view at the garden. Good place after a walk to have an iced matcha, the tea house is air conditioned so really nice to rest here in the summer. I’d like to have wider selection of traditional Japanese sweets to accompany the tea though.

Eatery located within Koshikawa Korakuen Garden. Set menus, something for people who want something sweet, and even alcohol. The view of the gardens is nice. Can get quite busy on weekends and holidays. There is a small souvenir shop located just outside.

The food was edible. The fish was dry perhaps due to season and the rest was just okay.

The service could have been more pleasant but nothing wrong.

Clean and relaxing atmosphere. The atmosphere is similar to that of a Ryokan (hot spring hotel); nice smell of wood with beautiful Japanese garden, but it was very cold due to the AC. And although on its own the restaurants atmosphere was nice, in the Kagurazaka area there are restaurants with much better food, better atmosphere, and service.

I wouldn’t go again to this restaurant, but it is conveniently placed inside the Koishikawa Korakuen Garden and...

Listed as open on the net, but closed for a private event for the whole day apparently, when I got to the restaurant. No signage other than a little flyer in front of the restaurant, and you have to pay 300 yen to enter the gardens before that point. It's a tourist spot and it is pretty out of the way, so the least they can do is post that they will be closed...
