Don't go if you're a tourist or foreigner.
We went for the AYCE sukiyaki. Service was terrible. The wait staff do not want foreigners here.
Examples (from big to small): They didn't put our vegetable reorder in. We finally asked again, and then it came right away. It was clear the first staff didn't care to put our order in. Because of the time limit to finish AYCE, it's the staff's f.u to make sure you don't get the food you ask for. (this was a veggie reorder, not meat, so it's not the delay-the-expensive--stuff strategy. it's just staff not doing their job) When you sit down, before your coats are even off, they expect you to order everything right away. You don't even have time to look at the menu! It is very easy to order the wrong thing (we over-ordered and paid too much for what we got). No explanation is given either. Ordered a bottle of wine. They didn't open it in front of us. Just put the open bottle of wine and 4 glasses on our table and walked away. No tasting, no pouring. Super passive-aggressive about filling waters. We had to point to each empty glass of water, otherwise the staff would just fill 1 glass (despite other glasses being empty). Looking for help was hard. I was craning my neck often, not one stopped by unless you really waved them down AND spoke directly to them. Eye contact / nod does not work here.
We paid 15000 yen each. For that money, a certain level of service is expected. Based on the behavior of the staff , they don't want your money. Go somewhere else -- they don't want us here, and why suffer the...
Read moreThe food at this shabu-shabu restaurant was absolutely outstanding! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The generous portions made it hard to finish even the first round of our all-you-can-eat courses, and we were all extremely satisfied with the quality and taste.
What made it even better was how convenient the location was. We were staying on the 32nd floor of the Kabukicho Tower, and the restaurant is right on the 5th floor, making it an easy and enjoyable dining option.
Our group of four, including my 6-year-old son who wasn’t eating, ordered 3 all-you-can-eat courses. Although my mom had to leave early and we couldn’t finish, the restaurant kindly adjusted the bill to only charge us for the set menu instead of the all-you-can-eat. This thoughtful gesture really added to the overall excellent experience.
I also want to recognize the young man who served us. His attention to detail and care made our meal even better, and I personally appreciate the effort he put in.
We’re already looking forward to returning when we visit Japan again. Highly recommend this place for both the incredible food and the...
Read moreThe staff works hard to ensure customers have a good experience. They are good hearted people who listen to customers and improve.
The food was really good! It’s quite a lot, even with a simple course, so come hungry. I thought that the nice mushrooms and vegetables were a great contrast to such marbled meat.
They have a nice selection of Nihonshu which pairs well with the food.
If I could change one thing, the music felt a bit sad. It sounds like USEN? Anyway music licensing is difficult in Japan so it’s not a big deal.
If you’re in kabukicho it’s a nice restaurant, though looks useful to make a...
