Newly opened-Indonesian restaurant in Hachioji, owned by an Indonesian Muslim and the chefs are originally from Bali. Confirmed by the owner herself that all dishes are halal though they provide alcohol (like any other Indonesian restaurants you find in Tokyo anyway). The place is clean and pretty with an Indonesian ethnic interior design. My favorites from the menu are ikan bakar, bebek bakar, tumis kangkung, tempe manis, nasi campur and bebek betutu. They're all veryyyyyy oishii!!

I tried also their gado-gado, gulai kambing and es dawet but to me they are just so-so as the gado-gado presented cold, and the dawet tasted like having been too long stored in the freezer. Price-wise, it's normal for Tokyo.

Please note that the coconut and mango ice cream contain emulsifier (nyukazai) which they don't know what it's made of, though they're sure they got the ice cream from a halal products supplier. But sadly we couldn't find any brand name nor ingredients written on the packages when we tried to reconfirm.

Lastly, if you're concerned about not having halal chicken originated from Brazil (like my family), the bad news is they use it in all the menu with chicken. But they're also kind enough to replace my sate lilit in nasi campur set with...

Om Swastyastu! This is a wonderful warung where you can fully enjoy the happiness of combining meat, vegetables, fried food, and sambal mata with nasi (rice)! So delicious!! Just like the local area! By using halal ingredients, it is supported by Muslims from all over Indonesia, and many people come to eat there every day. Because it is halal, unfortunately there are no babi dishes such as babi guling, but it is still a famous restaurant with many recommended things such as sambal mata and various sambal that are said to be more delicious than local dishes, and bebek dishes that are said to be more delicious than famous restaurants in Bali. If you want to go to Bali but can't, by using this restaurant, more than half of your love for Bali will be fulfilled. The conversation with the staff, who speak a mixture of Indonesian, is even more delicious than the food! We highly recommend you use it. Have a good...

This place has wonderful authentic Indonesian food and a nice atmosphere. The lunch menu is a great value but I feel that it doesn't capture the variety of flavors available on the dinner menu. I haven't eaten anything here I didn't like, and most of it was stuff I had never heard of! I look forward to exploring the menu more in the future. However my last visit I called to make a late lunch reservation for my friend's birthday, and they said don't worry, there won't be a problem getting a seat at that time of day. However when we arrived the restaurant was full and we had to wait outside before finally being sat at the counter. So we were disappointed and frustrated. This place is always full of happy Indonesian families so I know it is good, authentic food. They also have a nice selection of imported snack foods and...

Wish I knew this place sooner. Once step inside and you will be welcomed by real Indonesian staff, very friendly and with great smiles. The interior is just as you would see in Bali with Indonesian music on the background. Food are all authentic as they come. I really liked beef rendan and Javanese migoren as well as veggie with spicy peanut sauce. Satay meat was slightly on a tough side. While we were there, quite a few Indonesian diners came in and this already says a lot about the place. Indonesian grocery is also sold here. There are so many other dishes that I must come back to try. A must visit if you like the cuisine.
