We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon for one night during our birthday trip, and it was an experience we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere of the hotel impressed us—the elegant design, the welcoming staff, and the sense of calm made us feel instantly at ease.
In the Lobby Bar, we decided to try a few of their signature cocktails: the Botanic Mojito, the Plum & Yuzu Margarita, we also ordered the Frozen Pistachio Cassata, Wagyu Sandwich and the beautifully crafted Fall in Love Deluxe. Each drink was presented with such care and attention to detail. While all of them were delicious, the Margarita and the Frozen Pistachio Cassata quickly became my favorite—it had the perfect balance of flavors, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the bar.
What truly set our stay apart, however, was the service. I want to sincerely thank all the team members at both the lobby and the check-in counter. You were not only professional but also genuinely warm and attentive. Every interaction felt personal, and you all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special mention must go to Melih—thank you so much for your outstanding service. Your hospitality, kindness, and attentiveness left a lasting impression on us. It’s rare to encounter someone who makes guests feel so at home, and for that, we are very grateful.
Melih and the entire team transformed this short stay into a truly unforgettable experience. It is moments like these that make travel so meaningful, and it’s why we will always remember our time at this property with such fondness.
Earlier this year, we stayed at The EDITION, Shanghai, and I am delighted to say that both hotels are absolutely fantastic. The consistency in quality, design, and especially service across EDITION properties is remarkable. The Tokyo EDITION, however, has its own unique charm and a special energy that makes it stand out.
Without a doubt, I will 100% return to this hotel in the future. Whether for the impeccable service, the stunning atmosphere, or simply to enjoy another break in the Lobby Bar, this is a place that I would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone...
Read more[Very English Friendly] My friend made a reservation for us to try their high tea set (~7000¥) and requested a more separate space. When I first arrived to the building, I was very confused as to where to go! Locating the entrance is quite difficult and signage is minimal; I suggest asking for help if you happen to arrive close to your reservation time. The staff were exceptional, we had the most lovely server and she was really sweet and helpful! She was the highlight of the experience. The tea flavors were wonderful, I loved the seasonal pear tea. We were served champagne though, after seeing the bill, I don’t believe that was our original meal selection. The food was where I had most of my disappointments; the flavors were very underwhelming and dry. The scones should be marketed as biscuits with their dry, crumbly texture. Most of the savory foods didn’t taste like much aside from the miniature sandwich and only the bonbon served as a proper, interesting dessert. We also received a fruit plate to celebrate my friend’s engagement, which happened to be the more delicious item but was only for the special occasion. The high price is exclusively for the ambience… you’re paying for views and the green space. Be aware that the women’s bathroom has only two stalls and often has a line! While a unique experience, I...
Read moreAs a High Tea lover in Tokyo, I must say I'm disappointed. I took my wonderful mentor to have afternoon tea on her birthday and for the price I was expecting high quality and amazing service. The whole place was busy and the music was too loud. Then they wouldn’t give us a a separate seat with a view even though I saw some free couch seats the whole time we were there. I wasn't able to relax because we had to share a table with a young couple and me and my boss had to sit next to each other. I had called the restaurant on the same day and asked to prepare a birthday plate with my boss' name but after half an hour they didn't bring it and when I asked about it, our server had no clue. They ended up bringing us a fruit plate, which I do admit was nice and my boss liked it. Taste wise none of the savory or sweet treats blew me away or were particulary special. A few sweets were using the same strawberry filling in 2 or 3 items. When I was going to pay I was told that I can't get a discount although I am a Marriot Bonvoy member and also would’t be able to redeem any points. My advice if you want to experience a really great afternoon tea: Go to the Shangri-La, Park Hyatt, Ritz...
