This was a nice change after eating Japanese food for a few weeks. The restaurant was very crowded and loud but we opted to sit at the bar away from the noise. The drinks were very good. The coriander octopus salad was very good but was small and didn’t have much octopus. Green papaya salad was good but spicy, so beware. Khao Soi was outstanding! Brought me back to my visit to Chang Mai. In my opinion, the Pad Thai was sub par. The beef skewers were outstanding but a small portion. Chestnut ice cream was very good but we did not care for the sweet potato dessert. We ordered Vietnamese coffee thinking we were going to get the drip kind but it was a regular cup of coffee, but it was good. Overall a good experience. Wait staff is great, friendly and accommodating. Food came out quickly. I would recommend dining here if you...
I really enjoy this restaurant. In fact, just looking at the photos I've taken, you can probably guess how often I come here. I love photographing my meals, and this restaurant provides the perfect setting for that. Being from Saigon, the name "Madam Mỹ" caught my attention right away, which is why I initially decided to step in and give it a try. After sampling several dishes, I was completely won over. Coming from a family with a tradition of cooking, I have high standards for Vietnamese cuisine. Here, I find that the dishes harmonize taste, color, and plating beautifully. Some dishes remind me of the warmth of home, while others bring back memories of the vibrant streets in District 5—the China Town of Saigon. There are also creative fusion dishes here that truly impress me, like Dim Sum, Cơm Âm Phủ, Stir-Fried Noodles, Fried Rice, and Papaya Salad. These are combinations I’ve never encountered elsewhere but find remarkably familiar in flavors. Including the lesser-known Cơm Âm Phủ in the menu is a testament to the restaurant’s deep knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine, as not many Vietnamese people have tried this dish before. The restaurant also has two very friendly Vietnamese staff members (Ms Nhu and Ms.Trang). I’ll definitely be coming back many...
Read moreWe’re looking for a Vietnamese restaurant around Shimbashi and Yurakucho and decided to visit this one. It’s more like a subtle, fine western style restaurant than a traditional Thai, Chinese or Vietnamese restaurant all over Tokyo (as its name). The staff were friendly and polite. Foods were not authentic by any means but tuned to Japanese taste I guess. I’m not saying it bad, it’s just different from what we expected, especially the lamb was really good. They have lots of wine, cocktails and mocktails (all are really beautiful). The cons is, it’s quite loud compared to the same kind of restaurant in Tokyo (not compared to pubs, izakaya… although they serve lots of alcohol). We had to keep our voice louder than normal and sometimes couldn’t...
