Super awesome, I would like to share some information about Ginza Sony Park.

Ginza Sony Park is an experimental park in the middle of the city which carries on the founding concept of the original Sony Building built-in 1966 as a facility open to the public. It will be open for around three years before the Sony Building is reconstructed. Opened in 2018, this wide-open, vertically theme three-dimensional park consists of a flat, roughly 707 square meter above-ground area, and a lower park area comprised of four underground floors connected by a central stairwell.

It will be open until the end of September 2021. Reconstruction will then proceed until the year 2025 when the facility opens in its final phase as Ginza Sony Park. In 2020, Ginza Sony Park won an iF Gold Award in the discipline of architecture from the iF DESIGN AWARD 2020. The Gold Award is the highest-ranking award presented at this competition, which is one of the top three design competitions in the world. Ginza Sony Park is part of Sony’s brand communication, and the Ginza Sony Park Project business plan to renovate the Sony Building in Tokyo’s Ginza neighborhood has earned recognition. One iF DESIGN AWARD juror had the...

We came on April 3, 2025. This place is an empty concrete tower with next to nothing in it. There was absolutely nothing to see.

The basement floor is just part of an existing understand train station. Nothing special.

The "store" on the 2nd floor was absolutely pitiful, just a big nondescript grey slab with three or four tiny rolls of colored washi tape sitting on it for sale, with a single salesperson standing behind it. I felt bad for her.

The only art installment seemed to be a collection of identical green LED strips arranged in a circle. There were three or four of them placed haphazardly in an otherwise-unfurnished hall, and it was boring.

The fourth floor was closed for some reason and it couldn't be accessed.

The only bathroom is on the rooftop, and, again, there's nothing up there except for elevators to descend...

「Sony Park

First Look on Xiaohongshu | Tokyo's New Landmark Ginza Sony Park: Fujiwara Hiroshi's Convenience Store, Tokyo FM Outdoor Mobile Broadcast Studio, All in One Post! 🌟 Last week, Ginza Sony Park in Tokyo's Ginza district officially opened! I took the opportunity over the weekend to check it out and bring you the first-hand scoop. Follow me as we take a look around! 🌟 Last year, the #Sony building in Tokyo's Ginza announced its reconstruction on the original site. This time, Ginza Sony Park is a vertical, multi-dimensional experiential park. It's a futuristic amusement park filled with the latest concepts! 🌟 Spot 1: The exotic plant garden between the Hermès building and Tokyu Plaza: Home to exotic plants from various countries, this garden serves as the entrance to the park and is definitely the latest spot for street photography. It was packed with people over the weekend, so I demonstrated a few shots. The best angles are near the entrance, close to the Hermès building, and in the second-floor garden. It's a photogenic paradise! 🌟 Spot 2: THE CONVENI by Fujiwara Hiroshi and Araki Nobuo One of the park's major attractions, the convenience store THE CONVENI, opened by the godfather of streetwear, is located in the basement (B1). It sells various limited-edition trendy items. Imagine a convenience store filled with ⚡️ logos—how cool is that? Drinks, stationery, phone cases, even plastic bags are available! I think trend followers might completely lose it inside! (I didn't get a numbered ticket myself, but I figured out the method, so please call me a living Lei Feng!) ⚠️ You must get a numbered ticket online to queue up for entry. The official website URL is the store's name, and I also discovered an online shopping channel for those who can't make it to the store. I've posted all the photos. 🌟 Spot 3: Tokyo FM in the Garden, Mobile Broadcast Studio Everyone's favorite Japanese author, Haruki Murakami, recently launched his running music sharing channel on Tokyo FM. This time, Tokyo FM even brought its outdoor broadcast studio to Sony Park. The silver car opens at scheduled times, with DJs playing music inside, and sometimes there's even live broadcasting! A park with music is perfect, and I wonder if Murakami-sensei will do a live broadcast? I'm super excited! ⛸️ There's also a limited-time music roller skating rink where kids are having a blast. 🎮 Various Sony gaming console experience zones, including a racing experience area where the waiting benches are shaped like circles, triangles, crosses, and Xs—super nostalgic. The projection tabletop games are perfect for a casual fruit-slicing battle. 🎵 The basement live house has brought in beer from the Daikanyama Beer to Go. Not coming to enjoy a beer and a concert would be a huge miss, so I've added it to my must-have list! 🌟 Besides all the fun, delicious, and novel attractions, I also love the architectural style of Sony Park. The mosaic walls, minimalist concrete walls, and industrial vibes are just too cool. 🌟 Anyone planning to visit Tokyo soon, make sure to check out this new Ginza landmark! The next person to go viral on WeChat Moments could be you! @生活薯 @薯队长 #Tokyo #JapanTravel #TokyoTravel #TokyoTravelGuide #WeekendGetaway #TrendySpot #PhotoSpot #PerfectPhotoSpot #LuxuryLimitedEditionFashion #WhatToBuyInJapan
