Mamaya — Restaurant in Tokyo

One of the best Yakiniku restaurant in Tokyo. Doing their business more than 30 years here in Tamachi.

They are located close to the Tokyo Central Wholesale Market for Meat, which is located between Shinagawa and Tamachi station, so they can get fresh and high quality meat like WAGYU from the market. It is a bit expensive but it is garantee for the tase. They serve other Korean food also which is super delicious.

Interesting things is the owner of the restaurant love alcohol. So they have variety of High quality Tequila, Whiskey, Gin and more.

First floor is for small group or alone, but there is second floor which can hold more...

My favorite food is steak and this place was steak heaven. I doubt I would have found this place without my Japanese family as navigator but if if you are adventurous, definitely go here.

Menu has photos of the different cuts of meat but no English. We ordered a set of about 6 different meats. That’s probably the way to go if you are an English speaking customer. Everything was very good but 3 of the cuts demanded another round. I was so full but there was no way I was leaving any meat behind.

The staff was friendly and attentive. It was reasonably priced for top quality beef. I cannot go back there...

Delicious cow tongue jjigae for lunch! With 6 small side dishes, no doubt a wonderful lunch experience, but given that this is a bbq place, I probably should have gone for the wagyu lunch (although a bit more expensive) for the best experience.
