During our trip to Tokyo, my wife and I had the delightful experience of visiting a unique mini pig cafe, and it was nothing short of magical. Upon entering, we were greeted by a bustling room full of mini pigs of all sizes. It was a heartwarming sight to see not just the tiny baby pigs scampering around but also the bigger ones, each with its own adorable personality, eagerly waiting for their forever homes. The cafe itself offered a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of pigs to go around, ensuring that every visitor got their fair share of piggy cuddles. The highlight of our visit was perhaps the piggy-shaped donut – a cute and tasty tribute to the stars of the cafe.
What truly set this cafe apart was the staff's remarkable attention to detail and their genuine care for both the pigs and the guests. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring the pigs were safe and content, which, in turn, made our experience even more enjoyable.Booking in advance is a must due to the cafe's popularity, but fortunately, we were able to secure a reservation on the day itself. This visit was a highlight of our Tokyo trip, offering not just a fun break from the city's hustle and bustle but also a chance to interact with these adorable creatures in a safe and caring environment. Highly recommended for animal lovers and anyone looking for a unique...
Read moreIf you’re an animal lover looking for a unique and heartwarming experience in Tokyo, mipig cafe is an absolute must-visit. This charming little café is home to adorable micro pigs that you can pet, cuddle, and even have sit on your lap while you enjoy your time there.
The atmosphere is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed to create a calm and relaxing space—for both visitors and the pigs. The staff are friendly, helpful, and clearly care about the animals’ well-being. Before entering, they explain the rules clearly to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
The pigs themselves are surprisingly social and affectionate. Each one has its own personality—some playful, others more chill—and they seem to genuinely enjoy interacting with people. You can book a 30- or 60-minute session, and trust me, time flies when you’re surrounded by these cute little creatures.
I recommend making a reservation in advance, as this place is quite popular. Also, note that there’s a small entrance fee, but it’s totally worth it for the experience.
Whether you’re a tourist or a local, mipig cafe offers a memorable and wholesome break from the city buzz. It’s perfect for families, couples, or even solo travelers looking for something different...
Read moreWhen we entered, a family happened to be leaving. The child among them stated he was scared. I wondered why but I soon realized what I was getting myself into. There was a very large pig and it acted like the boss. It would bite the other pigs causing chaos. The smaller pigs would shriek and run away in fear. The blanket provided for the pigs to rest on your legs wasn’t big enough. The pigs kept moving or nudging it off me to the point I had no covering after a few minutes. The staff told us that we couldn’t move the pigs off us so I couldn’t even attempt to get another drink if I wanted to. The pigs looked hungry and agitated. By no means was this experience cute or relaxing. I don’t know how anyone would spend more than half an hour here. I was so afraid of the boss pig and uncomfortable with all the pigs on me in my fixed stretched-out position. The staff was kind but truly apathetic to the sense of fear that we felt. Another group was present and they kept screaming when the pigs would fight. One of the staff members told them to not be frightened because the pigs basically sense their agitation. I liken the experience to being on an episode of Fear Factor. No more animal cafes...
