I visited the store on 25th December. I wanted to sit and relax after a long train ride. The store had seating for approximately 12 persons downstairs and there appeared to be seating on an upper floor. When I told the cashier I wanted to eat in, she looked around and told me there was no available space and suggested I get take out. It was then that I realised that the upstairs area was closed off. As I looked around, there was a guy sitting alone on his phone, taking up 2 tables, that could actually accommodate four people. There were also two ladies sitting adjacent to him who were taking up space for four. I was so annoyed. In a situation like that, the staff should be able to ask people who are taking up more space than they need to make some room for other paying customers. Furthermore, the upstairs dining should have been open as it appeared to be a busy time in the store and denying paying customers a place to sit comfortably and enjoy their purchase is bad service. I didn't even want to buy the items anymore but because the cashier was her overly polite Japanese self through it all, I didn't want to make a scene by refusing to pay for them and just walking away. So I paid for them and had to go find somewhere else to sit...

She came back with a different order and when I complained she answered that they do not have what I asked for... when I said I didn't want it she took it and shoved it angrily in a trash bin with a demonstrative gesture. Read moreThis is one of my favorite Mister Donuts in Tokyo. The selection consists of all my favorite donuts, the coffee is good and the service, too. I used to sit and study and hang out with friends there a lot. Sometimes it can be challenging to find a table, but generally you will find a seat. I heard they don't offer free coffee refills anymore, so I'm taking one star...
