This restaurant is very close to my hotel, Hotel Metropolitan Edmont, less than 200 meters away, and it opens early. I had the salmon breakfast set at the breakfast spot by the entrance, which included a large bowl of rice, miso soup, a fried egg, beef, and some small side dishes. The set was priced at 1,380 yen, which I thought was a great value.

This was my first time using a Japanese-style automatic ordering machine, and I found it quite interesting. The bowl of rice was quite large, and I’m not a fan of eating so much rice in the morning, but all the other dishes tasted good. I finished everything except the rice. Although mostly frequented by locals, it's easy for a tourist to get an inexpensive and reasonably tasty meal here. Use the vending machine to place your order. There are pictures to help you choose. Then pay and give the ticket to a waitress. They have several inexpensive filling meal sets. One of us had the beef set and the other a fish set. Nothing fancy, but...

It's absolutely incredible what tasty food you get for such a low price. Not the most polished establishment but it's always there for you if you are hungry late at night and don't have much money to spend. I usually get the Oyakodon but the Karaage is also very worth checking out as it's a bit different than in other places - almost a bit like Tatsutaage.

It's absolutely incredible what tasty food you get for such a low price. Not the most polished establishment but it's always there for you if you are hungry late at night and don't have much money to spend. I usually get the Oyakodon but the Karaage is also very worth checking out as it's a bit different than in other places - almost a bit like Tatsutaage.
