If you’re bored, read this: In a somewhat ongoing series that could be titled “Food you wouldn’t think to eat in Japan” – Yesterday, when asked what she wanted to eat, Amanda replied, “I want a good sandwich.” I was surprised and impressed so I quickly googled “best sandwich in Japan.” We decided on this gem of a shop and enjoyed an amazing “Elvis” sandwich, an incredible Clubhouse sandwich, delicious buffalo chicken and Jim Bean-Dr. Peppers because our go to, vodka, and mixed drinks are hard to to come by in the way we are used to
 The food was amazing, the staff was friendly, the shop was TINY but packed with nostalgic and cool memorabilia as well as awesome people. We sat face to face with a super kind couple from the UK and Philadelphia who were both named Sam. Cool little hole-in-the-wall place, with a table and some bench seating. Friendly owner, and a lovely vibe inside. We ordered take away as it was pretty full when we go there, but when space opened up we changed to eat in. Menu has English with descriptions in Japanese. I had the vegetable sandwich and my husband had the brisket which he raved about the whole time he was eating it and for over half an hour after. Amazing food, fresh and carefully prepared. They do take away and are also on UberEats.

Talked to the young owner about the inspiration of the store and as I guessed the name of the store was inspired from Hawaiian sandwich and his name æ”· to make it ocean 🌊 Very friendly lad, cool hip little cafe and amazing food. You’d rarely find this kind of sandwich in japan. Too good for the price. Definitely should be on your list if you’re in area 😋🌭đŸ„Ș

Talked to the young owner about the inspiration of the store and as I guessed the name of the store was inspired from Hawaiian sandwich and his name æ”· to make it ocean 🌊 Very friendly lad, cool hip little cafe and amazing food. You’d rarely find this kind of sandwich in japan. Too good for the price. Definitely should be on your list if you’re in area 😋🌭đŸ„Ș
