The pizza was good enough. The pasta was under cooked. The “Italian” beer was made in Japan and the cocktail (Italian iced tea) tasted like raw wedding cake.
None of that compared to what we were told upon entering. As we walked in we were told in a very judgmental way about the minimum order of 1 food item and 1 drink item per person, as if we were going to try and share the tiny pizza. This type of minimum order is something i have only ever seen in a strip club in a rough neighbourhood, not a “fancy” Italian restaurant. We would have ordered much more if it wasn’t for the obnoxious service that was nonstop. When we did order, we were presented with more options like “do you want cheese on this”? Given cheese was one of the few ingredients mentioned on the menu, I felt quite insulted having to reinforce that we want what the menu says our order contains.
The signage to the toilets is non-existent, so be prepared to go on an adventure up and down stairs if you need to use the facilities.
Finally upon paying and handing over a 10,000 yen note the waiter went to question the amount payed before realising it was double the bill amount, not the 1000 yen he thought i had handed him, just to confirm my suspicions he had already judge me as a “cheap foreigner”. Sad fact is i have had better Italian food at a chain restaurant in a bad neighbourhood.
Save your self the time and hassle and go to dominos across the road. This place has clearly forgotten that pizza is a food of convenience, especially in a country famed for its rice!
One small thing to note, the service we received from the chef/cook person was not abrasive at all and we found him to be very polite...
Read moreI recently dined at Parazzo Italian restaurant in Japan and I must say, I was quite disappointed with my experience. Firstly, the prices were incredibly high, making it an expensive dining option. I expected the high prices to be justified by exceptional food, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
The quality of the food at Parazzo Italian restaurant was not up to par. The flavors were bland and lacking in creativity. The dishes lacked the authentic Italian taste that I was hoping for. Moreover, the portion sizes were quite small, considering the high prices.
The service at the restaurant was average at best. The staff seemed preoccupied and not attentive to the needs of the customers. It took a long time for our orders to be taken and the overall dining experience felt rushed.
Overall, I would not recommend Parazzo Italian restaurant in Japan. The combination of high prices and subpar food make it a disappointing dining option. There are certainly better Italian restaurants in the area that offer better value for money and a more enjoyable dining experience.
Additionally, I would like to mention that Parazzo Italian restaurant in Japan had different prices for Americans compared to locals. This discriminatory pricing policy is unfair and leaves a negative impression on the overall dining experience. As a customer, I believe that everyone should be treated equally and charged the same prices regardless of their nationality. This practice only adds to the disappointment and further diminishes the restaurant's...
Read moreMy family and I stumbled upon this restaurant when we were beyond hungry. We were sat upstairs in a dining area that lacked ambience or character. Didn’t look clean or appealing. We ordered olives and they tasted straight out of a can. The black olives were no good, as in expired. The asparagus was good. Not great but the best dish we ordered there. The buffalo mozzarella basil pizza was terrible. The sauce tasted like canned tomatoes and was so soupy that all of the mozzarella and basil slipped off the pizza. That brings us to the dough. Soggy and floppy not cooked enough. Horrible pizza! The prosciutto calzone tasted like ham from a packet from a quick Mart and a tiny bit of cheese but mostly just lots of bites of tasteless bread. We left disappointed and grossed out. The only redeeming part was our server. The server was kind and removed the olives from the bill and apologized for the...
