Disgusting service after the re-reopening.It was closed for about a month for renovations and I was looking forward to coming back, but it has turned into a rip-off!! The portion sizes have become pathetic. I ordered some french fries, but all I got was a tiny handful… there were probably less than 10 fries on the plate, but it cost me almost 1000 yen!!
You used to get European beer for a good price now, but now it feels like a scam. The pint glasses are also NOT real pints sized so they can charge you more money for less beer. Before, you got the original bottle and unique glass for each beer so you could clearly see how much beer you are receiving.
Now, both the beer and food quantity has become TINY and the price has gone up significantly! It is twice as expensive for only half the amount. Why do Japanese businesses keep doing this?
They also now charge a table fee which is ridiculous considering the service was so slow and inefficient, and they forgot my order several times. The other tables got their food much quicker before me even though I ordered a long time before them.
The German pub interior has also been removed as well so it looks like a generic, bland restaurant. How can you say you updated it? It has no character anymore.
I used to LOVE this restaurant. It was one of the few places to get good quality beer and had a unique and charming atmosphere. BUT… after they renovated it last month, this restaurant is now not worth visiting ever again. I’ve never seen a restaurant become so bad in such a short period of time in my whole life. It’s shocking, honestly. Who thought this was a good idea?? They lack common sense.
Congratulations, you’ve ruined everything 👏👏👏 Absolute rip-off. I will never come back! All you care about is money. Greedy, greedy, greedy business. This used to be one of the best restaurants here but now it is ruined. Do NOT waste...
Read moreSkytree, Tokyo - don’t think id wanna come back here… it’s probably one of our regrets of our trip that we lost a meal spot in this trip to mediocre food like cardboard pizza and greasy pasta. But it’s my bad for not checking the reviews prior to entering because my son was hungry and we’re tired… it’s the only place without a wait and that should’ve served as a red flag lol.
The service was great though. They asked us to order with QR code but my phones internet was slow, so she said no problem she could take the order from us. The food came out pretty fast too, well maybe that’s because that’s the time it took to make cardboard pizza… seriously frozen pizza from the U.S. tasted better! Not sure what type of cheese they used, cheddar? Lol. The dough had no flavor and nice texture. The carbonara was better, but it’s a little too greasy. And that’s not pancetta, it’s ham. The beer cheese fried chicken was good though! But I Don’t believe I took any pics lol
You get 20% off with your skytree Admission ticket. Thank goodness we didn’t pay full price. Take the bill and pay at the front like almost all restaurants in Japan. But yeah go somewhere else. If every restaurant is packed, just leave skytree and eat near your home or hotel lol. In retrospect we should’ve just gotten the kid some 7 eleven onigiri and ate at the izakaya next...
