PAUL atré Yotsuya — Restaurant in Tokyo

I don't understand what just happened. Yesterday, we arrived around 11am to eat some croissants. The waiter just gave us a table and offer a menu from 11 to 15pm. No problem, that was good, we eated our croissants. But today, 5min ago, we went to do the same, and that was not possible ! The waitress told us that it was impossible to eat some croissants after 11am in the restaurant ! (It was 11:01am) Only take away for the cakes, sandwiches and all. But when we orderded at the cashier, they asked to stay here or take away ! When we went back to sit, the first waitress ejected us again !! Even 2 other employees didn't understood ! So we finally paid 3000y to eat in a small chair in Atré; and the worst is that Paul was almost empty. As a french, that never happened in France ! I'm so disappointed to get that terrible service by this lady for the second day. And also in Japan. I've never get à bad service. I'm really angry and upset against this...

I can’t find a better word but one of the staff here is simply a disaster. We ask for a seat of 2 (and I speak Japanese) she tell us to wait for outdoor seat which will be easy for us shortly. So fine as there was no one in queue before us also.

After a while she tell us to use a ticket machine instead to get a queen number. I’m quite confusing thought she already find us a seat. At this point of time there are already 2 groups, fine I’m still waiting.

When it’s finally my turn this lady come and say no more seat….

This whole thing you can see it’s not about language, it’s purely about poor communication and customer management, and partially due to bad understanding of internal process. I know PAUL is a famous international chain shop but this management is below...

This place is a good bakery cafe! You can get good breads at the counter or you can take a seat to have casual plates for lunch or dinner. Good interiors and I recommend you to have a seat outside! You can seeing the crossing in Yotsuya town with coffee and feel good breeze! Every o’clock the bell in the university rings! It’s really nice! I recommend you have even just cafe...
