This place is a small bar-style pub with only about eight seats, but it’s part of a chain with around 30 locations across Japan. What makes it special is the unique way they serve beer—you can try one with 100% foam, one with absolutely no foam, or even a lager topped with stout foam. It’s a fun experience because the beers are prepared in ways you don’t normally see.
There were two staff members, a woman and a man, and I was lucky to meet a Korean beer master working there who kindly explained everything, which made the experience even better. I didn’t try the tomato- or matcha-flavored beers this time, but I’ll definitely give them a go next time.
Since it’s a small shop, groups of two to six people kept coming in after us, but honestly, it looked a bit difficult for groups larger than four to find seating. The side dishes we ordered were also quite tasty. If I have time, I’d love to stop by again on...
Read moreThis review was for back in April 2025. I had the great pleasure of Nozomi's service and pour. I forget the name of the beers, but see the picture. The beer and foam were really good, the service and other patrons even better. Nozomi was friendly from the moment I entered PBK, and was able to answer my questions in English.
I met a few friendly Americans and had some great conversation. The space is a bit tight, but filled with great people and a great vibe.
Thankfully/not thankfully it was "Cash Only", so I could only order the 2 beers. Otherwise, I'd be trying a lot of the others.
I'll be back

Read moreInteresting beer shop that focuses on different pouring techniques. It’s the first time that I’ve personally seen a mix and match beer where the body of the beer is light and the foam is from a dark beer. As the foam settles, the beer flavour profile changes and the colour of the beer also changes.
It’s definitely and interesting experience, especially their all foam pours, not sure that’s my style of beer, but everything is crafted with care and they take great passion in what they do.
Definitely a cool spot to check out some interesting beer...
