Osaka Okonomiyaki Tomokunchi — Restaurant in Tokyo

This was absolutely amazing. It was somewhat tough to find as it is on the 2nd floor and I can't read Japanese but it helped knowing the Kanji characters for Osaka. The staff was very helpful since we didn't speak Japanese, either. I would recommend the loaded okonamiyaki with squid inside. It was amazing. Also, their grilled edamame was also very nice and somewhat different than most places.

Finally, the atmosphere was amazing and we sat right in front of the grill. If I were to change anything about the experience, I might want to move from the grill to a table but it was neat seeing the food being made. Anytime I come back to Tokyo and have time, I will be returning to...

Delicious! We initially didn't realize that this restaurant was on the second floor and had a little trouble finding it. The waitress informed us of a wait for the okonomiyaki which we didn't mind, and we got to sit at the bar and watch the griddle show. The staff was very helpful and kind, and we appreciated her portioning out each of the shared items we ordered. We got the recommended yakisoba and a seafood Osaka-style okonomiyaki and both were great! I wanted to try okonomiyaki while in Japan and got fixated on this place after it popped up on my google search with some fabulous reviews. Went in on a Monday right after opening and all of the staff was great. They did their best to service me though only one person spoke limited English (and my Japanese is next to non-existent); however, there is an English food and drinks menu so that helped.
