New experience:
I revisited last month (6 month later) to celebrate my husband's birthday, hoping for a similar experience to my previous visit. Unfortunately, the service this time was drastically different. Despite booking a private room, we were initially directed to the bar area instead of a table. After clarifying our reservation, we were asked to return in half an hour for the private room. However, upon our return, we were seated in a booth instead. This miscommunication could have been addressed earlier to avoid unnecessary waiting. Despite our hunger, we settled for the booth. The staff brought us some meat and vegetables from our all-you-can-eat meal, along with a QR code for ordering. However, the QR code didn't work for the first half hour due to an incorrect code provided by the staff. Fortunately, the staff redeemed themselves by surprising us with a birthday cake for my husband's celebration.
To conclude: The service was disorganized and inconsistent, with erroneous seating arrangements and incorrect information being provided. The ordering process was marred by the staff's mistake in providing the wrong QR code. On a positive note, the food quality was satisfactory, and the birthday surprise was a redeeming aspect. However, it was not enough to compensate for the overall disappointment we felt. I hope they take these points into consideration and improves their service for future patrons.
(Nov 2022) the food was very nice. The quality was excellent. (Veggies +Mushrooms very fresh) Ordering using a QR code is convenient (because we are tourists). The private room made us feel comfortable. The staff are helpful and nice. (We don't understand Japanese but they tried their best to meet our request) Will visit again next time we...
Read moreAll you can eat Omi, Matsuzaka and Kobe beef mountain. We made reservations, and that was about the only research we did prior to eating here. Because of that, we didn’t realize we could order more meat through the QR code tucked in a little folder, so we sat waiting for the staff to come by and wasted precious time. Additionally, we also weren’t well versed in checking out all the meat options and thought we had to keep ordering the meat mountain (including one very tough piece of meat that required five minutes of chewing to get down), so getting past that piece was difficult.
Some things I really enjoyed about the meal here was the broth. It was surprisingly pleasing and complimented the beef and vegetables well, and I was especially fond of the dipping sauces (they were so good!). The vegetable selection was generous and included a vast selection of mushrooms and other greens. Another pro is this restaurant takes reservations, so be sure to make one if you’re coming in with a large party.
Some cons about this restaurant, they accommodated all six of us into one cramped table, and our elbows were constantly bumping into each other. All six of us shared from one pot, which was a bit of a reach for those sitting on the sides. It was also difficult for those on one side to add their desired vegetables as only one vegetable dish came out. Therefore, a bit difficult for those who likes to add certain meat and vegetables as they go (we ended up pouring everything in the pot).
Overall, I think this experience did not reach its optimum potential due to the limitations discussed above, however I’d still rate it a 5/5 due to what it could have been had we done our research. I still enjoyed this meal immensely despite some of the...
Read moreIt was an awful experience. Me and my partner have made the reservation and we were expecting good service and dining experience. However, we were made to wait outside standing for over 10 minutes past our reserved time. And what’s more ridiculous was seeing a group of Japanese customers, who arrived after us having same time reservation, similar party number, being seated directly to a private room. What shocked me even more was witnessing discriminatory treatment. I noticed another guest nearby who spoke Chinese asking how much longer the wait would be. Instead of providing an answer, the staff has told them to wait outside for further notice. Meanwhile, Japanese customers asking the same question and asked to sit on chairs inside the restaurant, then the staff let them to do so. This inconsistency in treatment was unacceptable and left a terrible impression. To make matters worse, before we even stepped inside, we were pressured to select a meal set at the entrance. After reluctantly making a choice, we were told upon entering that we still needed to wait without any clear indication of how much longer it would take.
The restaurant itself was chaotic, with staff members rushing around aimlessly. Despite their repeated apologies, it seemed like no one was actually addressing the issues or organizing the situation. The lack of communication and proper management left us feeling like outsiders who are ignored and unwelcome.
This experience was far below what I would expect from a restaurant that promotes itself as offering premium service and dining. Whether or not to visit this restaurant is up to you, but I hope my review gives you a better understanding of what you might encounter if you are...
