Rejected at the door. Although my bf is half japanese that didn‘t really matter. The waitress seemed to be a bit unsure as to wether accept us or turn us down so she went to her colleague, talked for a sec and came back with the excuse that it‘s fully booked. There were two 4 seat tables a available (non of them said ‚reserved) and there were another 4 seats at the bar that would have been available for us. I was turned away under the pretense of needing a reservation, which was frustrating and seemed inconsistent with what their website says. It’s deeply disappointing to experience what feels like discrimination against foreigners, especially at a restaurant serving non-traditional cuisine. So strange!!! Respect and fair treatment should be the standard for any establishment. I hope management reconsiders how they engage with and welcome all potential customers especially serving foreign food!! Walked in at 7pm on a Thursday night and was immediately stopped at the door and turned away due to “not having reservation.” Nowhere on the website or window are you told to make reservations. This doesn’t exist. Visited with my partner and we both happen to be American. As soon as we walked in the restaurant, everyone inside immediately turned to us to stare as though we were unwelcome.
