Ramen Sho was on our ramen hit list and we were so excited that the day we visited there was no line! We went for dinner here after attending sunset Shibuya sky on a Thursday just before 7pm to finish the night on a high. The dynamic bowl of ramen was nothing I’ve tasted before. The broth was light yet full of flavour that I still remember how it tasted. Noodles were also the perfect thickness and texture to compliment the broth and act as the device to enjoy the broth. Ramen Sho was an absolutely delicious and I high recommend putting this one on your list if you’re a ramen lover. When you want a comforting bowl of ramen that isn’t too rich, Ramen Sho is the go-to. I am waiting for the day I return to order another bowl.

I visited this ramen shop on my first trip to Japan 5 years ago. At the time I didn't have a good gauge for judging ramen, but I knew it was very good. Now that I have come back to this shop for the first time since then and after visiting many other ramen shops, I can confidently say this is still one of the best bowls of ramen I have had. I really recommend you try it out! It's pricer than most bowls of ramen, but that is for good reason - there's a lot of meat, 2 wontons, and an egg included in the special. The broth seems light, but has a deep flavor. On Sunday at 1pm there was a small line out the door, but it only took about 10 minutes.

Great place. I had it recommend by a friend and I loved it ! I ate few ramens there during my stay in Shinjuku. All their ramens are good, well made simplr and very tasty. you have to try their Number 1 seller. It's #1 for a reason ! Friendly staff, good service and nice small place. Their english is totally good enough to help you out ordering what you want + they have an english menu. Really enjoyed my time there. *Expect a short line up if you go between 5 and 7PM. Japanese people don't tend to stay long though, they are quite efficient at eating it.

If I could give a higher rating, I would. Menya Syo is located on Ramen Street near Tokyo Station Marunouchi. The shio broth here is combined with dashi giving it a complex yet delicate flavor. The noodles were cooked exquisitely and the broth was served at a perfect temperature. I ordered the type with three types of pork, the pepper crust one being my favorite. The marinated egg was divine and added much character to the dish. The service here was polite and helpful, assisting us in ordering from the machine out front.

I was craving for ramen and eldest brought us to Ramen Sho . They have two versions of soup ramen. Their popular shio chicken soup based and their shoyu equivalent. We ordered both versions. They also have tsukemen version that we did not order. The ticketing machine has labelled with English. The soup was light and refreshing. The noodles are also slurpy good. The noodles come with an egg, bamboo shoots, 2 wontons, 1 piece of chicken slice and 3 pieces of charsiew. Really enjoy this ramen.

Broth was rich and balanced and the noodles really hit the spot. Only quibble was the savoury/fermenty cooking odor near the back of the store was quite strong. Not unpleasant per se, but might be overwhelming. Quite a few ramen places tend to have this ventilation issue so this is not something unique to them. We got here half an hour after opening and had a ten minute wait, and we saw that the queue had grown much longer by the time we were seated. Definitely go early if possible.
