Robert Indiana Sculpture: "LOVE" — Attraction in Tokyo

The “LOVE” sculpture by Robert Indiana in front of Shinjuku i-Land Tower is a fun little stop if you happen to be nearby. It’s a striking pop art piece — the bold letters “LO” stacked over “VE,” with the tilted “O” — iconic and photogenic. 

Robert Indiana first created the LOVE design in the 1960s; it was originally a card design, later reproduced as many sculptures around the world, including this one in Tokyo. 

Great for a quick photo op, especially with its bright colors and graphic style against the modern backdrop of the I-Land Tower.
