Saray Kebab Higashi-Shinjuku — Restaurant in Tokyo

Update for 6/21: So I went there again this morning about 6 am. Turns out the falafel is not offered between 5 and 10 am, so I ordered the hummus sando again, asking for it to be spicy this time. The person taking my order was the same as last time. I ordered two of the wraps. He offered me a discounted price and included a drink as well. So I underscore my review recently (below) on this and hope you find the time to visit this small establishment. It will be well worth your while.

This is a corner stand, and as it says, it is open 24 hours. I went at about 6:30 on a Saturday morning, and it was quiet, as expected. There was someone in the stand, ready to help. It sounded like they were out of certain items, but it was unclear why. He was kind enough to work with me, pointing to pictures and letting me know what was available. I am vegan, so I knew my choices were already limited. I asked for the hummus sando. He said it was "cold," and that was as expected. He asked about the spice little. I said, "Little spice." Turned out I could have certainly turned up the heat. The portion size is excellent for 600 yen, and it was prepared quickly, too. So much fresh tomatoes, hummus, lettuce, and probably some other vegetables too. I know if I'm stuck for options, I'll pay this place a visit again. I hope you check...

The worst food I have had in Japan so far. Apparently the one in picture is falafel. What a joke! They are not even remotely falafels as they are not even made with chickpea. Tastes really bad. Yikes!

DON'T buy and encourage places like this please. My food went straight into trash and absolute waste of my money.

Food is absolute trash and no where close to any real Turkish food. Please use your money elsewhere.

This little spot is amazing, just as others have claimed. A must try with the yogurt sauce and hot sauce (though I got mild)

The first time I went, my Kebab Wrap (¥700) was packed full, delicious and beautiful! The man even let us pay after we ate! However, when I went another time, a different person served me the same item, but it was much less packed. Still a gorgeous, delicious meal, however. DEFINITELY recommended!
