APA Hotel Higashi Shinjuku Kabukicho Nishi — Hotel in Tokyo

Good hotel and great location. Only complaint is that we asked for a late check out, was charged for it, and then the next day they said it’s not on file. That was bothersome but they said there was nothing they could do. About a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and train station we used. This location was very accessible from most public transport. Other than the mishap with the charging, everyone was very nice. Room service cleaned our room every three days with or without permission for hygiene purposes. We always like any APA hotel as the staff are very attentive. My need for additional pillows were quickly attended. We didn't avail of the brekky as there are better options outside like the Convenience stores nearby with heaps of hoodies, cheap and fast! If you don't mind walking, it is relatively near three train stations. Just be careful, there are two other branches nearby do make sure it is #300 and address is 2 Chrome 31-17. Our shuttle driver took us to the wrong one, so we walked to the next one only to be turned away again and lucky last, got the one with another building being constructed next to it! Overall a nice room for the price however apparently they have a central heat and air which are switched depending on the seasons. Before I figured this out I was sleeping with the window open hoping it would make a difference. The interior of the hotel is actually open air so as soon as I realized that I was able to use the door stop they provide to prop the door open and get some cool air in. The elevators require a key card to use and I am male so I felt comfortable having my door open. Not a fan of the location but that comes with the price I suppose.
