Amazing karaoke bar in Shinjuku! You will have so much fun with the patrons and staff! Cover charge of ¥1,000 includes free karaoke. The bartender Shino is awesome! I stayed after the last train since they are open until 5am. Highly recommend the snacks and fun conversations and singing karaoke! Be sure to buy Bartender Shino a drink to show your appreciation! 10/10 I will be back again soon for sure! Bring your friends or come alone either way you will have a fun night!

The Japanese word for “fox” is “kitsune” and they are very special in Japan. This bar recreates some of the experience of visiting a Shinto shrine. You can buy a fortune and write your wishes for a fee. Worth a stop in for a quick beer.

I've lived in Asia for 10+ years, and rarely have I had as edifying an experience as I am currently having as I type this at Karaoke Bar Chakura. It is everything you could possibly want in a bar and more. Just the best people and music and decor and bar atmosphere and general everything and much much much much more. You must come here or you didn't experience Toyko. Make sure not to accidentally go to the bar across the hall which is fine but much more expensive (5000) and not even close to as cool as this bar which is the best and my favorite (1000 and the best). Please don't pass up this amazing opportunity to have the night of your life, I beg...

A Hidden Gem in Shinjuku – Chakura Karaoke Bar

If you're looking for an unforgettable karaoke experience in Tokyo, Chakura in Shinjuku is the place to be! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric and welcoming. The highlight of the night was definitely the owner—an absolute legend! Not only was he incredibly funny and friendly, but he also joined us in singing and even played instruments alongside us.

What made the night truly special was his support during our anime song performances.

The vibe was cozy yet vibrant, perfect for groups. Chakura is a must-visit. We left with huge smiles and amazing memories. Can’t wait...

I will admit I was a bit suspicious of the solid 5 star rating here so I had to see for myself. I will confirm this is a great bar to relax and spend some time at. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! They had never heard of a jaeger bomb so one of the staff ran to buy a red bull so I could show them how to make it, then we all took a shot together! There was also some incredible karaoke on display the night I visited by a local patron which was superstar worthy. Come spend some money...
