Be prepared for a line! Even outside of peak hours, at 2pm, the wait was 45 minutes. When I left at 3:30pm, the line was still as long as it had been at 2pm.

The waitress was super welcoming and, upon me sitting down, immediately launched into an excited explanation of the menu items. Her English was very good, too.

I ordered a cheeseburger with American cheese subbed in for cheddar 🇺🇸,and a white and black pepper burger with a side of horseradish. The burgers came with a side of fries and pickle. With a soda, the bill came out to 3800 yen ($27 USD as of time of writing). A good deal for how much food I ordered, but how did it taste?

The meat may be minced but my words won’t be: This is the best burger I’ve had in Japan. The meat is hand-chopped rather than ground, giving it a subtly steak-y bite. The lettuce is perfectly crisp and while it looks like a lot, is just right for balancing out the burger. The brioche bun compresses nicely in your hand; the white and black pepper burger appeared too big to bite into but it actually all squished down to a manageable height.

As good as the food was, there were a few things that I would have preferred differently. Some of these are more objective than others: (1) The fries were under-salted and not very crispy. (2) Heinz mustard is not as good as French’s mustard. (3) The tomatoes were quite soft and slightly grainy. I think a fresh Roma tomato would have worked better. (4) As good as Shake Tree’s brioche buns are , I am still of the opinion that potato buns are superior for burgers.

The interior is cozy and well-decorated, and the atmosphere is perfect for a casual outing or date.

After coming to this restaurant, I want to open up a burger restaurant myself. This was a fun meal. The food is very good, but the atmosphere and service really help complete the experience.

I strongly recommend this restaurant. If I could do my order again, I’d do the cheeseburger again but add bacon, stay with the cheddar, and ask for a 180g meat patty instead of 120g. Alternatively, the “freestyle” option looks fun: You just tell the staff what flavors you like, how hungry you are, and how much money you want to spend, and see what happens - sort of like a...

First off, I'd like to state that I understand how the rating system in Japan works, but I am a westerner reviewing a western style restaurant. With that being said, let's begin. The staff here is fantastic. It was probably the best experience I had while dining in Japan. The waitress was super informative when it came to the dishes, and her personality made me feel more than welcome. The cooks take pride in what they do, and it shows. The first night, I had the Chunky Junkie, a side of the best onion rings I've had in my life, and a mango smoothie. Which I had per suggestion by the waitress. The second night, I had the Red Devil and a coffee milkshake. This time, the chef delivered it to my table and explained how it was "dipping style." I strongly suggest this burger if you like spicy. The only thing I regret was not being able to come back one more time after being invited back before heading back to the States.

To the entire staff, thank you for the wonderful meals, your kindness, and your contribution to my experience in Japan. I will visit you again when...

The best burger I had in Tokyo.

This place is listed among top 20 burgers in Tokyo in Tabelog. There is always a long line in front of the restaurant. That’s why we could only take it out or have it delivered by Uber eats.

Both times I had bacon cheese burger with fries. It costs around 1500 yen when you take it out, and 2000 yen on Uber eats with a soft drink.

Burger was absolutely delicious. Meat was juicy, and somewhere between medium to well cooked. I think portion is enough for everyone except big foreigner guys.

If the weather is good, there is a nice park nearby (5 min walk) with a beautiful Skytree view. Instead of waiting on the long line, you can wait on “take out” line which is much shorter, and eat your burger in the park. On a Saturday afternoon, we waited around 15 minutes, which is not bad.

Highly...

Amazing experience!! Especially thanks to the super nice staff. The blonde waitress was amazing, super nice and explained the menu with such contagious energy! In five people we spent about 16.000¥, we got two appetizers, a hamburger each, four drinks and four desserts. So about 3.000¥ a person. We only have pictures of the desserts, because the hamburgers were just too good and we forgot to take them 😅 The atmosphere is also quite nice, the staff doesn't speak much English and I don't speak much japanese, but the communication worked just fine. 5/5☆ recommended. Be aware that the last order is at 20.00

Honestly the best burger I've had in 33 years in Tokyo. Had the buffalo wings and a bacon cheese burger. Such a pleasure to actually be able to taste the beef and have it cooked a proper medium rare. Funky atmosphere with great music. On top of that, both of the servers were incredibly friendly - a wonderful change in a city where so many servers are borderline invisible. Waiting for a Shinjuku location!!!
