shibuya zetton — Restaurant in Tokyo

One of the few places on my 2 week stay in Tokyo which deserves full marks.

Don’t let the cost I put down scare you, I just ate and drank a lot because it was worth it.

Located opposite a 711. I arrived early around 5pm and ate and drunk at the standing counter by myself. It was packed with locals by the time I left though so come early if you can.

The staff are incredibly lovely and the manager is wonderful too.

I was a little worried when I entered the bar since it was very nice looking which made me think their food would be average, but everything I ordered was fantastic.

I never eat shark fins for environmental reasons but I didn’t realise that’s what I had ordered. It was very lovely though with the Ume plum flavour which balanced out the fish. The deep fried sardines were so fluffy and light too!

The star of the show was the “kind of chips” dish which looks like fries made of potato but isn’t. The staff will make you guess a few times before they tell you what it’s actually made of but it was a fun and memorable experience, extra points for creativity!

You must eat here. Amazing food, top notch hospitality, and a beautiful ambiance. Shout out to Maru-chan and the fabulous staff. Open kitchen environment where you get to watch these talented chefs prepare dishes worth much more than they charge. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We left fat and happy 😊. We went twice during our two week honeymoon and will most likely stop by for lunch on our last day....

Such a charming place! Beautiful food and some great customer service. If you’re in the area you must check out this place. The customer service was next level and we just walked in a big group and it wasn’t a problem. Food is just amazing and the drinks absolutely delicious. We will be back.
