SHIKIN HANTEN Harajuku — Restaurant in Tokyo

Two Mondays ago, my brother and I visited Zijin Chinese Restaurant Harajuku at noon for lunch.

Lines are usually pretty long, as Zijin is quite popular with local office workers; although the line moves pretty quickly, especially if you are only one or two people and can sit at the counter.

We started with the gyoza and mapo tofu, both of which were delicious.

My brother had the hot and sour noodle soup, which could feed a small army. There was no way either of us could make a dent in it.

We also had the ginger pork, which was thinly-sliced and drenched in tasty ginger sauce.

If the line is too long, there is also an Indian place and a pho place on the same street nearby.

久しぶりの訪問。 近所の常連で賑わっているのが微笑ましい。 街中華ながら、女性のお客様が多いのもこのお店の特徴かもしれない。 この日も、男女割合2：8。

強い味ではなく、優しい味わいの料理が多いからこそ。

玉子炒飯 優しい味わいの炒飯に、ふんわり玉子がのっかっている。そのままでも美味しい炒飯が、玉子でより優しく美味しくなる。 玉子好きには堪らない！

焼餃子 最近よくあるよく焼きタイプではなく、色味は薄め。ただ侮るなかれ、一口食べると驚く美味しさ。肉汁がしっかり感じる餃子で、酢胡椒でも、酢醤油でも、どちらにも合う。この餃子、好きやな。

鶏の唐揚げ 餃子とは一点して、こんがりなビジュアル。衣はガリッとで、中はジューシー、これまた美味しい。

I was in the area a while back for another restaurant and happened to pass by this place. There was a line so I looked it up and found that it is quite popular, so added it to my list. I wanted something quick so opted for the fried rice and gyoza, both of which were delicious.
