This place is such a joke. We made a reservation for 13 but 2 couldn’t make it on the day so we changed the number but it somehow got changed to 10 when it was actually 11 so we told them at the entrance but they kept saying they didn’t have any more chairs but there was one for the table next to us so we asked the nice girls at that table if we could use it and they kindly let us have one. The waiter didn’t help us nor solve the problem at all.
Our reservation was 7:00PM and none of the waiters didn’t bring us menu until we asked them around 7:30. When we were ordering drinks, the waiter kept telling us that they were making drinks when we didn’t even order. Just sitting and waiting for drinks/foods is such a wasting time so we went to the bar and served ourselves drinks. The guy making drinks told us to bring the drinks ourselves. What kind of “service charge” they charged us on when they SERVED NOTHING but obnoxious attitude.
They constantly didn’t get our order right and by the time we started drinking, it was already 8:00. Other tables neither didn’t get their orders right and it would take like 20 to 30 mins for everyone to get drinks/foods every time we ordered.
I felt like each and every customer at this restaurant was so confused, frustrated, mad and disappointed.
Apparently, another table had to wait for their drinks for like 40mins so they were talking to one of the waiters about it and while she was taking care of them, the manager came across and saw them talking but he just buggered off knowing there was problems.
It’s a shame that I’ve been this restaurant quite often and their service was never this horrible but now that I know this is how they treat their customers, I’ll never come back as no one deserve this service. Well, there WAS NO SERVICE or whatsoever. They literally ruined my birthday and kudos for that. If there’s one thing they are good at, they make customers feel uncomfortable AF.
I can say that this was the worst restaurant experience that I had for my...
Read moreThis was a nice place to go to, a comfortable distance away from the busy streets but close enough to the train exit and a small and easy walk. Can be a group event or a romantic date if you make a reservation. Business takes cash only.* Authentic Mexican food is very hard to find in Japan and this is as close to it that I have found (I am mexican-american). The only difference is that there is more odd seafood variations of traditional Mexican dishes; such as octopus and other common seafood served in Japan. They ran out of horchata when I was there. The michelada was not a traditional michelada. I had some carnitas when I got there; they tasted very good. There was no salt or seasonings available on the table as most japanese restaurants do not have but the seasoning on the food was good enough! I did not see any limes served on our 6 person table. The menu is mostly drinks and kind of expensive. English friendly but our waiter did not understand English very well. The menu needs to be updated, hard to understand and looks very old. Service from our waiter was not very good. Constantly asked for water and ended up just servicing ourselves as other guests near us did the same. Decorations are very nice and cozy. You can hear the music wherever your at and the Mariachi's are authentic (I was told they travel and rotate with other mariachi bands to the other locations of the restaurant) they speak Spanish and take requests. They move around the restaurant and sing where people are. Please make sure to tip them they deserve it! :) I suggest reserving a table and hopefully asking for a good seat in a nice area, as we did not reserve and the placement was kind of bland. It looked clean but cleanliness felt questionable. You can split the check via cash at the front desk. There are steps to go down and most of the restaurant is underground* be aware of that. I rated 4 stars because the service I received from our waiter was very very bad. Good place to make...
Read moreVisited last night with my girlfriend who was SUPER excited and looking forward to an “authentic” experience.
Had a reservation for 5:00 PM but when we arrived the hours listed on the door showed hours starting at 5:30 PM. Double-checked our reservation and walked on down to see a restaurant full of people. We arrived at the same time as another party and they seemed to be justes as confused as we were.
We were seated quickly enough but waited a good 10 minutes before we were provided with a menu or water.
We get the menu, and there is A LOT to choose from. However, two of the menu items we had requested were not available.
Although shown on the menu, we were told after ordering 「もともとありません」(roughly translated, “we don’t serve that in the first place”). Why is it even on the menu?
Carne asada with enchiladas? Not available…
We ended up settling for the flautas doradas which were… okay but a bit salty for our taste.
We were also very excited to have mole and chicken but the what we got was this very sorry looking flat slab of chicken even thinner than a grilled chicken order from Saizeriya with mole sauce. Not very appetizing to look at. The tortillas served with the dish were pretty thick and a bit grainy.
The worst dish of the night was the arroz con leche… it was like somebody just poured milk over rice, sprinkled it with cinnamon and called it good… we took one bite and called it quits.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is great! However the Mariachi that visited that night could do with a few more songs. He seemed to only know “La Cascabel” and only the first verse. Personally, as a former mariachi that is not a song that I would choose to perform on my own as what makes the song great is all the solos for each instrument, but what do I know…
If I had to give a rating:
Atmosphere: 4/5 Music: 1/5 Service: 2/5 Food: 1/5
Probably time to hit the...
