We had the pleasure of enjoying a dinner for four at the Chinese restaurant inside the Capitol Hotel Tokyu. The private dining room featured a beautifully set round table draped in crisp white linen, centered with a glass lazy Susan and a simple yet striking red floral arrangement. Through the window, softly lit trees created a magical backdrop, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.
Each dish was a feast for the senses—visually elegant, delicately fragrant, and exquisitely flavorful. We began with a steamed fish dish, perfectly cooked so that the flesh flaked apart tenderly, complemented by the subtle aroma of scallions. Next came a chilled appetizer wrapped in translucent slices of sashimi-grade fish. It paired the freshness of seafood with fragrant herbs and crispy garnishes, resulting in a harmony of textures and tastes that was truly memorable.
Sipping red wine as we enjoyed our meal, time seemed to slow down—allowing for deep conversation and moments of quiet appreciation. Dessert was served on a sophisticated black and gold-rimmed plate: a chilled treat in a textured blue glass and a golden honeyed confection. Light, balanced, and elegant—just the way a perfect dinner should end.
The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, with staff maintaining a gentle presence that made us feel cared for without ever being overbearing. Their thoughtful hospitality elevated the entire experience.
We chose this place hoping for “Chinese cuisine worthy of a special evening”—and it far exceeded expectations. It’s a restaurant we can confidently recommend for anniversaries, important gatherings, or simply a...
Read moreAs an American this was a little difficult as it's a different culture. The portions are small but very well prepared and delicious. So things ordered were not what we thought but good anyway and nice to experience some different things. All in all excellent place and it would be better if you go with a local that...
