The lunch experience was truly exceptional. The appetizer was a stunning start, featuring an array of assorted delicacies, from rum raisin tofu with fried taro kadaif, dadacha bean espuma (a type of edamame famous for their exceptional flavor and aroma, white squid and avocado ceviche, beautifully presented. Next was a cold “Black Joe” pumpkin potage, perfectly prepared to refresh one’s palette. The Wakayama umedori chicken ballotine with pork jelly and truffle vinaigrette salad was exquisite. The sea bass (suzuki) (which I regret not capturing in a photo), from the Sea of Japan, was prepared at exactly 58 degrees, accompanied by vibrant greens, roasted peppers, a dollop of creamy sauce, and mussels with beurre blanc sauce—a perfect harmony of flavors and textures.
The main course on a beautiful white plate followed suit, showcasing a succulent slice of Aomori prefecture silver duck with rich sauces and an elegant arrangement that delighted both the eyes and taste buds.
The dessert course from Patissier Shimizu was a masterpiece, with the melon tart offering a refreshing blend of fresh white peach fruit and creamy filling, while the array of small cakes and pastries on the dessert table, including a refreshing plate of strawberry gelato delights, provided a variety of indulgent treats.
The calla lily centerpiece added a touch of natural elegance, enhancing the sophisticated ambiance. Paired with the crisp Bianco wine, every sip elevated the meal. The impeccable service and serene dining room, calming BGM, made this a luxurious culinary journey—highly...

Only one set menu available with choices of main entrée and dessert. Not too pricey - 10k yen per person before plus plus. Reservation recommended in advance for Fri & Sat. So you can go to both locations if you are a big Sakai fan and enjoy a different experience at both. If we had to choose to go to just one, we will choose the...
