We went on the weekend early in the morning and it wasn't too busy with tourists but is a popular place for family photos so it also wasn't not crowded. Pretty to see and and easy to get to inside the city. The shrine is small and not much to see inside. This would be a quick 30 min visit combining the toriis and shrine.
