Starbucks Coffee - Marunouchi Oazo — Restaurant in Tokyo

I had the most disappointing experience I've ever had at a Starbucks at this particular location. I bought a coffee here and sat down in the OO Plaza, a public space outside the café, to enjoy it along with a pastry I purchased from another store. I assumed it was fine as the seating clearly seemed to be part of the public area.

Initially, a young male staff member approached me politely and informed me that, although outside, the seats were managed by the café and requested that I refrain from bringing outside food in the future. I had no issue with this and appreciated his courteous approach.

However, the situation took an unpleasant turn when another staff member, an older lady, confronted me about my food. Her manner was far less polite, making for a very uncomfortable and displeasing encounter.

For future patrons, I advise being aware that the seating in OO Plaza includes both Starbucks-managed and public spaces, so be cautious about where you sit. Additionally, I suggest that the café should clearly indicate areas where outside food is not allowed, and some staff members could certainly benefit from improved customer...

I bought a delicious chocolate cookie and marble pound cake from their special menu. Triple espresso latte was also delicious and the staff was very pleasant. I bought a Starbucks mug and card as well as a drink and some food, and the barista at the register handled the transaction smoothly and without a sense of rushing me. At some Starbucks the staff look over you or past you when they speak to you, but at this store both baristas looked at me and spoke more genuinely.
