The menu is primarily in Japanese, especially the seasonal options that are written on the whiteboard. However, they do have English translations for their staple sushi and sashimi selection.

When I visited, we ordered a lot of sushi as well as a glass of sake - everything was very fresh and it was really interesting watching the chefs prepare it in front of you.

Sushi is made one at a time and place in front of you. I enjoyed watching the interactions of the local office workers as they ordered their food from the sushi chef directly.

They also give you a slip to write down what you want to order. As I cannot write in Japanese, I used the numbers on their translation slip to indicate what I wanted to order.

oh my gosh. i can go on and on about this place, but as a person who LOVES sushi, standing sushi bar nemuro hanamaru is the best place u could get the best quality pieces of sushi and experience in tokyooo. avoid coming on the lunch hours from around 12 to 1 on weekdays since it’s also a popular spot for businessmen and also with a large group of people because it could get quite busy and cramped; AND it would be very hard for foreigners to get by with the menu since there aren’t any english (or other languages) translations so PLEASE keep that in mind!!
