My Japanese exchange student recommended this place, and honestly it was the best sushi id had on my trip to Japan. Cheap food, high quality fish, traditional and more unique sushi - it had everything to make the best kind of sushi train.
There was a 45 minute wait (we were a group of 3) when we got there, so I'd recommend being early or ready to wait especially if you're a group. Honestly, id be quite happy to wait double what we did. Between the 3 of us we tried just about everything on the menu - the fried octopus, the ramen, the 3 different kinds of salmon sushi, the prosciutto sushi, and it was all incredible.
The only things I wouldn't recommend is the sea urchin sushi (an acquired taste for foreigners - I don't recommend sea urchin in general) and the tempura shrimp sushi (under seasoned but otherwise great shrimp)
tl;dr This place is one of the best affordable sushi trains with something for even the pickiest eaters. Definitely worth a visit if you're ready to...
Read moreRead moreLove the food here, especially cheese and basil sauce salmon & and shrimp! The atmosphere is nice, too. This is the lowest rating I've ever given on Google review since I'm so mad with the collab. They usually give you collab dish and collab goods separately in the Sushiro shops I frequent. However, in this Oshinoko collab, they put the stickers right on the dish under the sushi. Like, is it ok to put random stickers under sushi??? I don't usually check the collab goods while I eat, but this one I took it off the plate and noticed it's wet. I opened immediately and saw the sticker drenched in oil. (You can see in pic the 2 corners are soaked in oil .
I initially wanted to go to a ramen restaurant but it was closed as it was New Years day, so for the restaurant of the new year I went to Sushiro-Minamiikebukuro as it was just across the road, and I definitely wasn't disappoonted. With a large sushi selection which you order on a screen and order 3 plates at a time you can't go wrong, especially when the sushi comes to you on a rolling belt. It's quite a novelty but it is pretty interesting and fun. The sushi is delicious and is pretty cheap. Definitely a place to go to for a bite to eat and enjoy the sushi roll in after you...
