Sukiya is one of top chain fast food "Ya" (屋 meaning House) in Japan. The others being Yoshinoya (𠮷野家), Matsuya (松屋) and Coco Ichibanya (壹番屋).

This eatery has many merits: 24 hours operation, good location, extensive menu, easy to order on app, efficient service, fast turnover, affordable and convenient for single diners and tourists.

Some things to keep in mind: I don't recommend this location for parties larger than 2, as seating is "bar style" and difficult to keep everyone together. Seating is limited, but customer rotation is high. If you wait a few minutes, a seat should become available. This store is open 24 hours a day, and is conveniently located lear Shinjuku Station. This is a great option if you want a warm fresh meal and in a hurry. I received my food within 3min of ordering. I ordered the beef gyudon bowl with extra green onions, miso soup, and salad. This "Sukiya" restaurant is my favorite restaurant if I want to eat delicious gyuudon. I always come to Sukiya restaurant wherever is it and order "Cheese Gyuudon". It tastes very good and addictive.
