Mid-level expensive compared to other conveyor belt sushi places but I think their quality of fish is expressed through the higher prices. Also, this place has chefs hand make the sushi unlike other chains where machines do it so that’s also the reason for the higher prices.
This restaurant isn’t a true conveyor belt sushi place because after you order what you want, they will make it and then hand it to you. Yes, there is a conveyor belt that goes around the restaurant but there are just pictures on plates. You have to order what you want to eat. Since it’s difficult to get full on one or two pieces of sushi per plate alone, I’d recommend eating a small dinner elsewhere and coming here to fill up the rest of your stomach and experience a bit of the conveyor belt craze.
We ordered the squid, seared sardine, onion sprouts, minced fatty tuna with green onion, salmon, and tamago. I enjoyed the seared sardine, minced fatty tuna, and onion sprouts. The salmon was okay and the tamago was slightly sweet.
You make your own hot green tea using a hot water dispenser on the table and you pay for your meal up front. There is a restroom in...
Read moreThis is a great little spot if you're looking to try conveyer belt sushi in the Shinjuku area. Prices are a little higher than what I've come to expect, but the sushi quality and variety was pretty great. This sushi will not blow your mind, but it's really good, fresh, and a fun experience--this is a great introduction to this style of restaurant. They do give you a menu and a syllabic guide to pronouncing the type of plate, so all you have to really do is try to say it correctly and point to the one you want to the sushi chef in your area. Green tea bags and hot water are provided, as well as ginger and the usual accoutrements like chop sticks and soy sauce/little plates for it, etc. Pretty standard choices, thought the fresh bonito and seared sardines were prob my favorites. Beer is ~550 for a regular sized glass. I don't think I would come here again in the future unless I had already tried some other places near Shinjuku station, and could compare them. I would go back if we were in the area and dying for some decent sushi... Overall a nice place, a bit expensive, but I had no complaints about the quality so it comes out...
Read moreThis place is one of our regular stops when in Tokyo. Each time we visit the city we typically hit them at least twice. Timing is everything so beware that they can get quite busy at lunch and dinner. A wait line will form and can sometimes snake around the side of the building. Their quality ranges from good to excellent depending on the freshness and range of items on offer in any given day. They will sometimes require patrons, especially those that are not native Japanese, to order through one of the wait staff. We think that is because they don't want the sushi chefs to be distracted or slow down trying to figure out what the patron is trying to order. They will frequently have daily specials posted on the board but they are only in Japanese so you may want to get some help to work your way through them. We think they are a consistent quality stop for very good sushi and a quick satisfying meal. Don't forget to get a frequent diner card stamped for what you spent on your meal and if you have a large group it's worth some money off your next order once you...
