I cannot begin to describe how great this lounge is. I came here three times now, and it's my favourite Neko Café.
The staff are incredibly well accustomed to cats, they clearly know how to deal with them, their behaviours and their health. They are sweet, well-kept and make an effort to speak English with foreigners.
The cats are healthy and boast a broad range of appearances, personalities and behaviours that are fun to watch. It should be remembered that cats sleep and rest during the day, so I recommend visiting in the morning and evening if you want to interact with them more. They also love treats, I have never purchased the treats because I am more than happy with their company.
The facilities are amazing. The slippers you must wear are comfortable and kept clean. There is tea, hot and iced drinks, water and even some liquid soups in the self-serve café area. This is kept clean and paper cups with lids are used. It is free to use. Theres a small gachapon machine here with the café's own goods (badges etc). The toilets are clean and modern, there can be a queue there at peak times but it's not too bad.
The entertainment is better than all other cat cafes I have been to. The manga range has a lot of popular titles to choose from. Up to date magazines, photo albums and books are available to browse too. There is a gaming section with Nintendo Switch and Gamecube with a selection of games. There is a standalone Mac and iPads to use. The laptop/tablet charging table with ethernet ports and charging plugs is my personal favourite, and I study and do work there. There is a card gaming area where you take your slippers off and are able to play uno or with a pack of regular cards. There's simply so much to do in the company of cats.
The price is ridiculously reasonable if we count in all of the benefits. Its a great place to study, to read, to relax and to enjoy the...
Read moreExcept a couple cats nothing about the place was enjoyable. Especially the lack of ease of navigating the place and the breakdown of pricing. We were not informed that the time starts from the moment you step in the facility. We were shown the pricing, I chose 30 minutes. A receipt was given. Instructions were shown then the lady told us how we have to wear their slippers and put everything away in lockers. We had to find the lockers, the way to the actual cat room and the drinks ourselves. Had to hunt down people couple of times to get our cat treat. In the end they charged us extra time and when I questioned how come, she showed me the time on the receipt which was given to us the moment we entered without any knowledge of policies, rooms and what rules they wanted us to follow . Same after leaving the cat room there was congestion in the tiny hallway and the locker room which was hard to get to but they inuded all that time. When I questioned, they showed a different physical card, which was not shown in the beginning, which mentioned cat cafe time includes time spent to put stuff away in locker and the changing time. All this was pretty strange to me as how a stranger will know where all the stuff and room is till the person is shown. I told them I am willing to pay extra 20 minutes but this is not fair and should have been communicated upfront. We did a similar experience in Kyoto with dogs and nothing of this sort happened there. The lady in the end did charge me for 30 minutes. Only cold drinks available were super mini cans of cider which were also submerged in warm water. Charge was close to 30 dollars per 30 minutes. Also the banner for the place is on a different building where we ended up going first only to realize, thanks to someone, who wrote that in...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Cat Cafe Mocha Lounge in Shinjuku, and it was a delightful experience for any cat lover. The café boasts a wonderful selection of very nice and cute cats, making it a haven for feline enthusiasts. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, creating a relaxing environment where visitors can enjoy the company of these adorable creatures.
The café offers a variety of hot drinks, perfect for warming up on a chilly day. Sipping on a hot beverage while observing the playful antics of the resident cats adds an extra layer of coziness to the experience.
One unique aspect of Cat Cafe Mocha Lounge is that visitors have the opportunity to feed the cats. This interactive element allows for a deeper connection with the furry residents and enhances the overall enjoyment of the visit.
However, it's worth noting that visitors are not able to hold the cats. While it may be a disappointment for some, this policy ensures the safety and comfort of the cats, allowing them to freely roam and interact with visitors on their own terms.
What sets Cat Cafe Mocha Lounge apart is the diverse range of cat species that can be found there. From playful kittens to regal adult cats, the café offers a wonderful opportunity to observe and appreciate the beauty and unique characteristics of different feline breeds.
