Of the many wonderful, delicious meals one can have in Japan, this standing Edomae sushi restaurant left one of the deepest impressions and gave me a newfound understanding of refined, premium sushi. With incredible value, each skilfully prepared morsel has layers of complexity in texture, flavour, and subtle seasoning that unravels with every chew. At least for me, it was a rather life-changing experience compared to the sushi I have had before.

Serving around seven customers at a time, reservations are necessary as walk-ins are rarely accepted. Dining is also limited to an hour per person, and the chef serves up each sushi at a well-paced speed that allows you to enjoy without feeling rushed. I certainly hope to return to...
Read moreThe food was okay but the whole experience was terrible. we arrived, and there were only two other guests there. We knew that it was standing dining, and we were excited for that but the chef nor the lady working at the restaurant showed any care or appreciation about the restaurant or the food that they were serving. They were very short worded and didn’t show any passion.
I am very surprised that it has Michelin ratings and I would not go back nor would I recommend it. Also, you only have an hour to eat at the restaurant (which is fine) but at 45 minutes, they started cleaning up without even asking if we wanted additional sushi… it was a very unwelcoming...

The sushi itself was nice and was prepared with care. The service and atmosphere were a bit cold. Also please be mindful that there are no chairs, so you eat standing. So an overall okeish experience, but I think there are better places for sushi of the same...
