This was the first time I had such a negative experience at a restaurant. We had just been seated when I asked for a glass of water. An older woman, who appeared to be the owner, told us we needed to order alcohol which I agreed to.
While we had only just begun to look at the menu, the woman gave my husband a noticeably hostile side-eye glance. Although I initially dismissed it, she returned and said that we should go to the restaurant next door if we don’t plan to drink alcohol. I continued to smile politely, feeling confused, as I had already agreed to her condition and asked her to wait. It wasn’t even 2 minutes, she started to sort of scold us, tell us to go next door and awfully said hurry up if we want to order.
I didn’t understand, we were looking at the menu… By that point, we felt very uncomfortable, it just felt we are not welcome there, people were looking at us like we did something wrong.
Initially, we thought she might be discriminating against us for being foreigners; however, after reading other reviews, it appears this behavior is indicative of the establishment’s generally poor customer service. We ultimately decided to leave, as we did not feel it was appropriate to support a business that treats its customers in such a manner. I’m so glad we leave. Hopefully others don’t have to experience this, there are many other places to eat...
Read moreWe went there after Bruno Mars concert. There were only few people at first but as the time went by it got crowded. My mom and I ordered fried rice and my sister ordered one of the noodles they got. The noodles took awhile to show up. I understand that because it got busier since people from the concert were probably coming in as well. But here is the thing, my mom and I finished eating and since my sister’s food came last, my sister was still eating. And of course we were talking just like any other people in there. But then the old lady yelled at my sister “YOU NEED TO EAT QUICKLY” Twice. Also as we were still eating they brought the check and demanded to pay. TWICE. We were still eating. It was insane how she made it obvious she wanted us to leave. We weren’t even loud, we didn’t take long to order. Pretty sure she didn’t like to turn people away since it was full and she knew we were almost done and just wanted us to leave. But jeez, no need to yell!...
Read moreI'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 as the staff were nice and the shrimp with chili and garlic tasty. It was however half the size of the photo on the menu, only 6 pieces of shrimp and no cabbage as shown. The yakisoba could have been good but was also too small, super oily and took forever to come to the table. We got charged ¥400 for each of the super small bowl of otoshi which was 3 pieces of soggy daikon. After we had already ordered people had started smoking and we were hungry so had to just stay. This place had the feel of having been good at some point but needs to be updated to the current times, a good...
