Food was pretty good but trash service. We walked in without reservation but was given a choice to eat in 20 mins at a secluded table or wait 50 mins for the next available table at 9.30. We asked if we could sit and order first and shift us to an available table once ready. Server rolled her eyes and said NO. Hence we settled for the 20min option. We wanted to order more food items but they cancelled some of our orders saying it’s impossible to make (which btw is so ridiculous).
When we were eating, the servers kept hawkeyeing us so we had to gobble down our food in 20+mins. When asked if there was an Available table at about 9.10. Server replied “oh someone just booked it”?!? So we gave up and decided we could just take away. Lo and behold, server said NO and then made us pay and leave.
Not sure what exactly went wrong because we were genuinely craving Italian food in Japan and saw that this place had good reviews. We also noticed the servers were particularly warm to locals only. The best part was that there were empty tables LOL but they chose to forsake our orders just because we weren’t locals?!
The food was pretty good but that’s about it. Honestly still scarred from this experience. If you are not local…run as...
Read moreThe pizza I had was delicious (and I’ve tried a lot of pizzas) and the atmosphere was great. The staff were also helpful and friendly and the price was reasonable.
There are a couple of minor points but not quite enough to knock a star off the score - it’s seemingly required for all guests to order a drink, despite this not being the case in a lot of similar style places in Japan and not being made clear on the menu (at least the English language version). It’s not a big deal but it feels a bit rude when they insist, especially when this isn’t made clear at the outset.
Also while they have an ‘English’ menu the vast majority of it was still in Japanese, and while there were pictures of some dishes there were lots that weren’t pictured, so you’ll need Google Lens or similar if you don’t speak Japanese. This also isn’t a huge deal - after all it shouldn’t be expected that a foreign language is catered to, but it seems odd to offer it and then not deliver on it.
But overall this was still a 5-star experience when factoring in the price, and I’d...
Read moreSo worth the hype!! Heard Italian food was really great in Tokyo so we decided to visit and the rumors are so true—we booked ahead and I think they only allow you to do the course meal if you make a reservation, so we did that. SO much food - 7 or 8 courses - for ¥4000 that we were absolutely stuffed. It seems like a lot of folks got the Bismarck pizza but we ended up getting the prosciutto, which was fine :) highlights were the salad and pasta that came after pizza!
Mixed drinks were also super tasty and not too strong...
