The restaurant's current seasonal offer for summer is the cold soba with two pieces of tempura. It is a good alternative to the traditional tempura meals that comes with rice, if one wants to skip the rice for less carbs. But their tempura is really very delicious, and may need to order extra pieces for ¥160 each. Their drink of cold brown tea is really more refreshing than any plain cold water. (In some countries, standard drinks are sodas and sweetened iced teas are offered. But not in Japan.)
Unlike before when I spent less than ¥1,000 for their rice bowls, now I paid ¥1,650 for the cold soba, extra tempuras, and an extra egg. But it's more protein than carbs that one doesn't regret. And still cheaper than in other restaurants.

There was "Water" on the table which was also labelled water but it definitely wasn't water as it was dark brown and tasted strange.... It wasn't oolong tea either so not sure what it was but it was off putting that it said "Water" on it.
All the food was a really good price. I follow a pescatarian diet so we chose here as they had a vegetarian option.
This was the first place in out 3 weeks in Japan where I didn't finish the udon/noodles. The broth just wasn't nice at all for either me and my Husband.

Excellent tempura at really affordable prices with a bowl of noodles for ¥300 and tendon (prawn tempura on rice) from ¥630. Complimentary cold tea is free flowing.
For vegans, depends on how strict you are because while there are several kinds of vegetables tempura, they’re fried in the same oil as the seafood.
