Came here for breakfast and loved it. They do have English menus. It seemed like a small family run operation, which we loved. We all ordered the mixed tempura set that came with three shrimp, conger eel, some veggies and a piece of fish (they advertised scallops but we didn't get any). Served with rice, miso soup and pickles. What we DID get eas delicious. The miso soup had clams in it, which gave it a nice flavor. We also ordered a small dish of maguro (tuna) that was tasty. Service was stellar. When one of us took out some tablets for medicine, the server noticed and immediately brought over a glass of water. Unbelievable! The staff was super kind and I would definitely return. Recommended way to start your day at Toyosu Market!

Excellent, well priced tempura restaurant at the Toyosu Market situated next to the popular Sushi Daiwa. We ordered: - 🍤🐠tempura set with tuna sashimi - 🍚 a bowl of tendon with delicious anago and shrimps, soaked in nice soy sauce - ala carte ordered some tempura pieces such as their shiitake mushrooms, maitake mushroom and butterbur sprout - if you like prawn head, I recommend ordering their tiger prawn and they serve it with tempura prawn head which is really crispy and juicy I also enjoyed sprinkling wasabi furikake and shiso yurikake onto my rice.

Tenfusa tempura has moved to near toyosu market (previously known as Tsukiji Market). To get to tenfusa, alight at Shijio-Mae station and then it’s a short walk from the station. I went at 11am, no queue and got the last available seat in the small restaurant. I waited about 30mins for my meals to be prepared but the tempura don ( 天丼)was worth the wait! Every now and then they will have a recommended menu (おすすめ) displayed in front of cashier. Be sure to ask if you can’t read Japanese. Yummy food and friendly owner, what a gem.

You have to admire their dedication as they are not overwhelmed by the long queues and rushes their orders. They have somehow missed out my order and yet after they realized it, they still let my order go through the queue and I ended up having my food served only after most of the people that came in after me. Though they were very apologetic and even gave me a free towel but how I wished that they are more flexible instead.

久しぶりの豊洲市場、今朝のお目当ては「天房」。関連飲食店がたくさん入った水産仲卸売場棟ではなく、青果棟1Fへ。ゆりかもめ「市場前」駅を出て左へ、案内に従い少し歩いてエレベーターで降りると、すぐ目の前、大和寿司、富士見屋との並びにある。さすがに平日早朝だと、大和寿司にも行列はない。 お店は、広く綺麗になって机・椅子の配置もゆったり。大海老や穴子をfeature したメニューも魅力的だが、まずはオーソドックスな天丼を注文し、揚がるまでビールと鮪刺身(単品)で繋ぐ。この時間帯は市場関係者とおぼしきお客さんが多いが、たいていまぐろ定食を頼んでいるのには少しびっくり。確かにコスパがよい。 天丼は、具材のバランスが良くて相変わらずの美味しさ。山椒を少し振って味にアクセントを付けるのもあり。食べ終わると、いつの間にか店内は満席、ちょうど二人連れのお客さんが顔を覗かせたところで、席を立った。また来ようっと。 午前7時の開店から5分ほどでお客さんが4人、その後もパラパラと。今朝は、本日おすすめの鮪刺身(単品600円)をつまみにビール(600円)を飲みながら待つこと10分弱、芝海老穴子天丼(1800円)の登場だ。さくさく揚がった芝海老の食感、分厚い穴子のほくほくした美味しさ。3分の1ほどをそのままで味わった後、山椒を少し振ってヴァリエーションを楽しむ。大いに満足の朝御飯。 久しぶりに来てみると、メニュー構成にかなりの変化が・・。天麩羅定食(2400円)、穴子天丼(2100円)、天丼(950円)やら、各種天麩羅単品のほか、天麩羅付き焼魚定食(銀鱈、鮭、秋刀魚開き、1350~1150円)。イチ推しは、天麩羅付き鮪刺身定食(1350円)のようだ。今朝の注文は、穴子天丼と、ビールにアテの鮪刺身単品。2本乗った肉厚の穴子が美味。 少し後に入店した市場関係者は、芝海老搔揚げ・野菜天+ご飯セットを注文していた。なるほど。 コロナはなかなか収まらないが、豊洲市場・天房へ。上天丼(2100円)と鯨刺身(600円)とビール(700円)の豪華朝飯。鮪刺身定食・ミニ天麩羅付(1500円)、鮪中落ち定食・天麩羅付(1800円)もお勧め。今朝の上天丼には、琵琶湖の稚鮎の天麩羅も載っていた。鱧天麩羅も試してみたい。 コロナもさすがに収まってきた。久しぶりの天房で、天丼(1500円)、にたり鯨刺身(700円)とビール(700円)をいただいた。天麩羅定食(1800円)や各種単品天麩羅のほか、鮪定食(1500円)を筆頭に、秋刀魚塩焼、鮭塩焼、秋刀魚開焼、にたり鯨刺身の定食(各1300円)とお魚の定食が充実。これらのお魚の定食には小鉢が付く。 久しぶりの天房。鮪定食(小鉢はニタリクジラ刺身)、蕗の薹と生帆立の天麩羅にビールで3000円也。ご馳走様。 2024年5月に来てみると、お仕着せの天麩羅定食は姿を消し、お好みの天麩羅単品を頼んで、これにライスセット(400円)を足して定食化する仕組みになっていた(天丼も同様)。揚げたての天麩羅が順次運ばれてくるので、ちょっと感激!

Tenfusa Tempura was definitely a great choice for my first Japanese meal in Japan. Starting with the Ocha, the meal - tempura, miso soup, rice, raw fish and radish pickle- was simply amazing, it felt like it was just melting in my mouth. And I instantly fell in love with it. Also the hospitality they had to offer was the best. P.S. It was my very first experience having a raw fish and now I prefer raw over the cooked one.
