Tenshige-Honten — Restaurant in Tokyo

Prices are higher in English menu, which is illegal I believe‼️😠Although the food is good, I don’t recommend this restaurant at all. We were a group of four people with one Japanese and three foreign nationals. A lady at the restaurant treated us very differently from other Japanese customers when we were only speaking English (among us, not to the lady). She was trying to get orders from other groups of customers who came in after us. But she clearly switched her attitude after I ordered in fluent Japanese. The service after all was fine (I was watching when we paid to make sure that we don’t get charged the higher prices on the English menu) and food was good, but it was a very uncomfortable and unfortunate...

「カレーかき揚丼には赤だしが付かない」2021/5/19

水曜の12時少し前に利用しました。

「カレーかき揚丼」：750円（税込、以下同）　味3.4点／CP3.4点 オーダーして2分ほどで配膳されました、早っ！　もちろんかき揚げは作り置きではなく揚げたてです。 かき揚げ自体は玉ねぎベースでしょうか、イカなども入っていてなかなか美味しい。 天つゆの代わりにシャバシャバ系のカレールーが掛けられています。スパイスの効いたやや辛口のカレールーです。 普通の「かき揚丼」は800円なのですが、かき揚げ自体が同じものなのかどうかは分かりません。

かき揚げにカレーの組み合わせは好みが分かれると思いますが、自分的にはアリと思いました、ただしまずは普通の天つゆが掛けられた丼物の方を食すべきでしたね。 なお、「かき揚丼」ならば赤だしとお新香が付くのですが、「カレーかき揚丼」にはお新香だけで赤だしが付きません。何故なのでしょうね？　個人的には100円高かったとしても赤だし...
