If you arrive late here, prepare for tantrums, glares, and indigestion. We were tourists navigating Shibuya with a pram in rush hour and arrived very late to our booking. The maître d’ told us it was okay after speaking with the male waiter who seemed to be in charge—who then threw a tantrum in front of staff and guests. We should have left, but instead we went in.
From that moment he glared at us nonstop, scolded me for scanning the English menu, and badmouthed us to staff while being charming to other tables. The lowest point? The whitebait pasta was absolutely delicious. The place was full of people in their 20s celebrating birthdays, which made me feel a bit out of place, but the attentive staff and cosy atmosphere made it a lovely experience. Thank you for the...
