Ever dined in a literal art exhibit? If no, then this is your chance! This one-of-a-kind experience is worth waiting in a line for. We went when it was raining outside so the only real dining option was the reversibile rotation room, which is indoor. That room fits I believe around 10-12 guests, so you may want to either come early or be ready to wait. When we went there was 1 staff member responsible for the guest list and serving guests on the inside. When we got there, it was a small store front with a register and black curtains that closed the reversible rotation room off from public view. We were confused at first because a staff member wasn’t around to greet us, but we eventually understood the arrangement and waited in the shopping area after we added ourselves to the list. Be prepared to order and pay for everything prior to being seated as this gives the culinary team time to prepare the meal. We enjoyed the standard Vegan Ramen Uzu style ramen and followed it with a warm green tea and peanut butter and chocolate donut. The ramen was perfect! The creamy miso-oat broth was delicate, rich and heavenly. Writing about it is making me hungry! They added little cherry tomatoes to the top, which I usually avoid on ramen but these were cooked nicely and added an umami flavor to the ramen. The noodles had a great texture and were cooked perfectly. To add, the meal was presented as a piece of art. You can tell the meal was cooked with patience and each ingredient was carefully selected. We also enjoyed the donut - we felt that vegan desserts were rare to find in Tokyo so we took every opportunity we had to indulge in sweets. They weren’t disappointing but also not phenomenal. I did like that they offered to warm up the donut, which on a cold and rainy day was actually really comforting.

If you’re on a quest to find the best vegan ramen in Tokyo, look no further than this hidden gem that we stumbled upon during our trip. Situated in an unassuming and somewhat odd location that you wouldn't typically associate with phenomenal dining, this walk-up window is a revelation for food enthusiasts, especially those following a plant-based diet. The warm and welcoming staff, interacting from behind the window, greeted us with genuine smiles, setting the stage for a memorable culinary experience. The atmosphere around the window was surprisingly cozy and inviting, making us feel right at home despite being miles away from our usual haunts. But let's talk about the main event—the vegan ramen. It's not just good; it's a culinary masterpiece. Each bowl was a vibrant tapestry of flavors and textures, with a broth so rich and robust that it's hard to believe no animal products were used. The noodles were perfectly cooked, springy, and did an excellent job of soaking up the delicious broth, while the array of toppings added a delightful crunch and freshness to each bite. What really sets this place apart is how they’ve mastered the complexity of flavors using purely vegan ingredients, achieving a depth that rivals, and perhaps even surpasses, traditional ramen joints. It's a bold statement to make, but this vegan ramen truly stands out as one of the best we've had in Tokyo, and possibly anywhere. This unexpected find was undoubtedly a highlight of our culinary adventures in the city. Whether you’re vegan or simply a ramen aficionado looking for an exceptional bowl, this place is well worth the detour. Do yourself a favor and give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

After going to teamLab Planets, stopped here for lunch. It's my 2nd time here and the first time I thought the miso was good/alright, though I would say it's just more of personal preference of your taste buds. This time I got the soy sauce and this definitely more to my liking. Had friends tried other flavors and they all seem to enjoy it. Ice cream wasn't bad as we tried each flavor available. I would say each flavor caters to different taste buds, similar to the ramen flavors so could be a hit or miss. Overall, you can see a lot of thought was put in creating each ramen recipe and how it is presented to you. Service was pretty good given the setup. Atmosphere is cool since it relates to how teamLab does their art work. Inside seating is limited. Only fits 12 people and it's a long table with 6 seats on each side. 1 person manages the front and also the one serving/bringing you the food and drinks. You order before you sit down and know that you might have to wait for a seat to open up. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. It's a little on the pricey side but you're paying for overall experience if you're sitting inside. If you just want to eat cheap great ramen, this might not be the place for you. It's something different from the typical ramen shops in Japan but don't expect it to be crazy like the interact exhibit in teamLab Planets.

The ramen is good, but the service is unfriendly to foreigners. When we visited on October 9, a young staff at the front desk led us inside without explaining the menu or asking if we were ready to order, which left us confused. After a few minutes, we went back to the counter to ask how to order. The menu isn’t clear about the two options: 1. you can either order a single ramen and pay an extra entrance fee, or 2. you can order a set and skip the entrance fee. This wasn’t explained by the menu or the staff , so we ended up choosing the first option, which wasn’t cost-effective. We only realized this after finishing our meal, when another staff clarified the options, but by then it was too late. There should be an experienced staff at the front desk, rather than a newbie who doesn’t know how to guide customers through the dining experience. For a restaurant with such a reputation, the service did not match the price at all. This was our worst experience out of the five ramen spots we tried in Tokyo. and ironically, the is the most expensive one.

I don’t know if it’s because this place single handedly healed my Golden Gai hangover or it’s just really really good, but I’m a big fan of UZU. The sparkling green tea citrus drink and vegan ramen combo sent me over the moon. For being at the touristy Team Labs, this ramen was exceptional. I’m not vegan and actually I hate raw tomatoes and mushrooms but I literally ate all of it. It’s got a nice creamy heat with fresh vegetables. Massive portion, too! On a pretty day you can enjoy it all outside before your entrance time to Team Labs. They also offer a dine in experience within an art installation. I needed sunshine and fresh air and thought this was a good choice. If you’re considering Team Labs and want food nearby - go here! If you’re staying 15 minutes away - go here! I may even return.
