This place has the small town atmosphere I love. Unlike most places they paid us extra attention as foreigners trying to make us comfortable. After ordering a few standard dishes the staff started recommending other items on the menu. I really like it when the staff put pride in their special dishes and explain them in detail. They even discouraged is from ordering sauce on a couple dishes saying that "salt will bring out the natural flavor". That was really appreciated. Try the miso harami (I think?). 「やっぱり小太郎の煮込みは旨い！」2021/12/4

土曜夕方に2人でちょい呑みで利用しました。 まだ16時半より少し前だったのですが、店内のテーブルは「予約」の札が沢山立っています。カウンターも同様で、びっくりです。なんとか自分たちはセーフでしたが、後客さんの中には、「予約時刻までの限定」という条件で入店される方もいらっしゃいます。随分な人気店になってしまいました。

「カレー煮込み（中）」：605円（税込、以下同）　味3.8点／CP3.5点 「豆腐」：220円 この日は「カレー」味の煮込みにしてみます。前回頂いた際にはご飯が食べたくなりましたので、ご飯代わりに「豆腐」を入れてもらいました。豆腐を入れるのは正解と思います。「キャベツ」を入れるということもできるのですが、どうなのかな？　試してみたいです。 やはり「小太郎」さんの煮込みは旨いです！ 「小太郎」さんの煮込みは、モツの臭みは全くありません。味は4種類あるのですが、自分は「辛口」か「カレー」が好きですねー

Absolutely love this place. Great staff and a fantastic owner. The food is spot on, and the staff typically tell you from the get-go as to which items on the menu aren't available.
