Like many hidden gems in Tokyo, Ogawa is tucked in the backstreets of Yotsuya. This place serves solid yakitori in a relaxed atmosphere

The Damage: JPY 10-15k for two Ambience: 15-20 seater all counter yakitori bar run by a duo/trio. Good service despite the size, nice refined atmosphere

While the food is excellent, I was disappointed with their miscalculation when making our bill. Make sure you watch out; they didn't itemize our bill but just gave us a paper with a final price listed. We questioned the price, and they seem to have gotten annoyed. They took the paper away, went into the back room and suddenly we noted a change in the interaction between the chef and other workers. It was weird...and a little uncomfortable. Terrible restaurant. They treat foreigners poorly and overcharge (charged us for the full course set even though we got the half set). Even though you make a reservation, they will still make you wait an hour. Super unfriendly. Yakitori here is very much below average. They fill you up with poorly executed side dishes...
