Yoshikame Sushi — Restaurant in Tokyo

This place is very expensive for what you get, and the service was quite unfriendly. Staying at Citadines for a while, we were curious about this place that looked nice from the outside. Going in we were greeted with barely a smile and didn't know how to back out. After ordering sake, we asked for the price of Ikura sushi to find out it was 500yen for one piece! At least 2-3 times the price of other places. We got the set which was just average and a lot more expensive than other places. I have a feeling this restaurant is more about private rooms where you can smoke with your "date" than about the food. Do yourself a favor and walk a few more minutes down the street to Tsukiji Sushiko. A much nicer place with an open layout and better sushi at...

BEST SUSHI IN SHINJUKU!

Thick big slices of raw fish....Wow! I fed my family over 40 pieces of nigiri ( mostly top shelf tuna) and 5 drafts and tea for 200$ This would have been 400+ back where i came from. The tuna melted in my mouth and the salmon roe was the size of BBs. Staff great! Ambiance great! Several locals eating there so you know its good! Highly recommend to anyone in Shinjuku! If you’re staying over the road at the Citadines, do yourself a favour and pop over to this beautiful place. Very personal and delicious experience, with the best sushi I’ve ever eaten in my life! Very understanding with us knowing little to no Japanese.
