I normally don’t write reviews unless it is a good review. I have to write this one as I need to caution anyone who is planning on visiting this restaurant. I went there yesterday and am sharing my horrible experience. I reached there at 10:15 pm (google says it shuts at 11:00 pm). Not even a single table was occupied. One Mr Chettri was cleaning a table and when we asked for a table for 3, without even looking at us he rudely said that the restaurant is closed now. When I asked the chef what time is the last order he said 10:30, after a heated discussion with Mr chettri, I was given a seat and allowed to order. When we asked about the portion size, he said he doesn’t know and refused to give us any idea of what we were ordering was enough for 3 people or not. Before the food even came to our table, Mr. Chettri asked us to pay the money as he had to close the accounts for the day. Finally when the food came we were given small size plates and when we asked if we can be given the bigger dinner plates, he said told us to ADJUST WITH WHAT IS GIVEN. In Hindi he said”Jo dia hai ushi main adjust karlo” As the bigger plates were kept right in front of my eyes I asked for those plates by pointing at them. I was told by Mr. Chettri that he is busy right now closing the accounts and finally again after a heated discussion I was finally given the bigger plates. Finally at the time of leaving when we asked for our invoice tried to evade giving us the invoice and finally after waiting there for some more time for the invoice we were given it. I have never in my life been treated by so much disrespect, and Mr. Chettri was the most awful person I have encountered in my entire Japan trip of 3 weeks. No Indian should ever go here if he has any self respect and does not want to be treated like an untouchable. Also the portion size is the smallest I have seen in my life. For 1 person, you will have to order at least 3 portions. Due to Mr. Chettri refusing to tell us the portion size. We were still hungry after our meal and we were left with remaining breads as there was no dish remaining to have them with.
NOTE TO THE OWNER OF THE RESTURANT: You may kindly check the CCTV footage from 10:15pm to 11:00pm to confirm all facts. The attitude of Mr. Chettri my be the reason in the first place why the Resturant was empty. HE SHOULD BE FIRED FROM HIS JOB. Being a manager of the Resturant, he is not cooking, and he does not know ho to talk to customers, or make them comfortable. I own 7 restaurants in New Delhi, India, and from experience I can say one bad fish spoils the...
Read moreZeera Akihabara is a solid, no-nonsense Indian restaurant tucked into the electric chaos of Akihabara — and it’s one of those places that quietly delivers. The vibe is casual and compact, but the food hits home if you’re craving rich, flavorful North Indian staples. Their butter chicken is creamy and comforting, the naan is hot, soft, and pillowy (especially the cheese naan), and the spice levels can actually be adjusted — rare in Tokyo, where “mild” usually dominates. The biryani is solid too — fragrant and well-portioned without being overly oily.
Service is warm and efficient, and the staff usually speak English, which makes ordering smooth. Prices are reasonable for central Tokyo, and lunch sets are a great deal with curry, naan, rice, salad, and a drink. It’s not trying to reinvent Indian cuisine — just offering good food, fast, in a spot that’s otherwise overloaded with fast food and anime cafés. If you’re near Akihabara and want a break from gyudon or ramen, Zeera is a satisfying, flavorful detour. Reliable, hearty, and...

The service was attentive without being intrusive, which added to the overall pleasant experience. If you're in the area and in need of a tasty meal to refuel after a day of sightseeing, this Indian bistro is definitely...
