I recently dined at Colette Mare Kyoto Katsu Gyū and was blown away by the exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm and attentive staff made me feel right at home. The cozy, modern decor added a touch of elegance to the dining atmosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the food! Their signature tonkatsu was an absolute delight. The pork cutlet was perfectly breaded, with a crispy exterior that shattered with each bite, revealing tender, juicy meat inside. The accompanying sauces, especially the rich tonkatsu sauce and the tangy grated daikon dressing, elevated the flavors to new heights. The set meal came with a variety of sides, including fresh miso soup, pickles, and fluffy rice, all of which complemented the main dish beautifully.
What truly impressed me was the attention to detail and quality in every aspect of the meal. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring I left feeling completely satisfied. Whether you’re a tonkatsu lover or just looking for a delicious meal in a charming setting, Colette Mare Kyoto Katsu Gyū is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and indulge in their mouthwatering...
Read moreThis is Yokohama’s best kept secret. This is located inside the mall just beside Sakuragichi Station in Yokohama. Specifically in 7th floor of Collete Mare mall. I was just doing some regular quick tax free shopping in Uniqlo, and decided to find a quick mela before heading back to Tokyo. Im so glad I made the decision to just eat in the mall because I was already tired to go outside. We wanted to find a good Gyukatsu, and found Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu. We were seated at the back that greeted us with the best view I have ever seen while visiting Yokohama. MinatoMirai, the cable car, the bay are all seen in one picturesque and in Instagram-able view. MiTa, the staff helping us was very knowledgeable and kind to teach us how to correctly mix and eat our Wasabi. Will definitely come back! By the eay try their gyukatsu uni (fish)!...
Read moreI ordered 黒毛和牛サーロインかつ(the name might be wrong) but didn't really enjoy it. At first they served me half fat half meat. How could you even think of serving such low quality inedible food? So I asked for new one and they kindly brought me a new one later. But the food itself, unfortunately is not my taste. Thick raw beef coated with fried thin coat. Sounds delicious but it was just like eating raw chunk of WARM meat with thin fries. Without the sauce, i wouldn't even dare myself to finish it. It is just too greasy... My sisters enjoyed the food somehow. So it's all up to your preferred taste.
Nice view tho the place has funky smell which I guess it comes from their dirty...
